Yeah, I think that was the only shot they had, looking it up, Microsoft purchased RARE in 2002, but ever since CBFD was remade in 2005 for the Xbox, Microsoft hasn't done anything with Conker, which is probably because they've tortured and stuffed with Rare, but that's getting a bit off topic.josemlopes said:Make Conker 2.0 (not really Conker since Microsoft owns that but something like it), thats basicly it, there is no need going guns blazing with a shooter or making an already existing series go dark and edgy when you can actually make something new that.
Nintendo actually built a huge and fairly complex world through the old manga, which they could dig up and modernize if this idea were to float. The Federation Coumcil, Adam, other Officers, Anthony, other Bounty Hunters, and a LOT of other characters of varying species could form a pretty diverse cast. There was a lot of civil war and political talk in the manga if I recall correctly (starting to sound maybe too much like Mass Effect...) Making it an RPG would give more...control? over her personality. She needs to be sassier anyways.krazykidd said:I feel like there aren't enough interesting characters in the Metroid Universe to warrant a character heavy game.
Well that, and last time they tried to give Samus more personality it did not end well *cough* Other M *cough cough.*
Yes, and it's mostly done because people obviously aren't over the fact that games are toys and being toys they need to be focused on the young. Too many companies seem to have lost that and thus are putting too many eggs into one basket.McMarbles said:Isn't it the height of selfishness to demand that a child's franchise grow up with you?
Your argument is way to compelling to not agree with though...Neronium said:Well in all honesty I think the reason that they get that lovely rated M for mature thing is because of Mara.Xcell935 said:Oooooor.... just an idea guys, do what the Persona series has done to get itself an M rating and have writing and themes made for mature audiences...
And then slap on violence and gore.
Remember, rated M for Mara. XD
I think you did that wrong. Because i wasn't the one who wrote that.Sable Gear said:Nintendo actually built a huge and fairly complex world through the old manga, which they could dig up and modernize if this idea were to float. Seeing as the tablet controller has all the buttons and sticks of a "normal" controller and it's pretty easy to make a game that barely uses the touchscreen features I'm interested to hear in what way exactly does the tablet negate a developers freedom?Kittyhawk said:The tablet controller also negates any true freedom in creating the game a person wants to create.
Kirby: Throw some Madoka/Daybreak illusion style horror as an innocent mind like Kirby enters the mind of someone that is so mentally broken and make him completely oblivious despite the lore logs stating otherwise.DarkhoIlow said:You can always go play Darksiders 1&2 if you want a mature Zelda game.
Other than that, Nintendo games are so "child friendly" that I can't think of anything that would make their current franchises mature.
The Wii U controller is no different from the pro controller in terms of button mapping.Kittyhawk said:Only way would be for Nintendo to give some devs from their stable, freedom to create what they want. Otherwise they are banking on indies, who they once didn't want to know unless they were a legit business with offices. Problem is that Wii U is still very limiting in what can be made for it. The tablet controller also negates any true freedom in creating the game a person wants to create.

Seisen no Keifu managed that. Its ASOIAF that ends happily.Lovely Mixture said:Yeah, I'm all for the more graphic Fire Emblem. Or more Fire Emblem in general.

They already did that. It was called Twilight Princess and it was awesome!DragonStorm247 said:Zelda could certainly be bumped to a T
Huh. Could have sworn it was E. Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly; it was dark, but I don't really think there was anything in it that was inherently child inappropriate. OT: I'm gonna have to go with the general consensus here and say Metroid. It already has that Halo-ey feel to it. All it needs is a darker tone and some gore and BOOM! You got yourself an M rated game that is essentially Halo for the WiiU.
Nope, Twilight Princess was the first and only Zelda game to ever be rated T for Teen. In the past they used to be rated E, but nowadays they are rated E+10.DragonStorm247 said:Huh.
