I'm sorry to hear that, I was looking forward to the new Bonk game they were developing at Hudson Entertainment. It looked swish. Goodnight sweet Bomberman.

I loved the Bomberman games of the N64, I also loved Mario Party 2, 3 & 4 (Mario Party 1 is a controller murderer, many sticks died trying to bring joy and fun).

Such a shame... well, I guess we'll see Mario Party 9 with Konami's label now.

this is all Activision's fault! if they weren't here making the market be crowded with shooters trying to be like Modern Warfare then we would have more companies out there actually making good games!

Why can't they just not make a Cash-In of Duty game for a year? or two? or ever again?
They won't because, bizarrely enough, they're a company. And companies are out to make money. And those shooter games make a metric fuckton of money. That's like walking up to a guy who's spent years mining gold and asking him to blow up his goldmine.

Ah just closing down the US division as it dose not handle much development, ect it just helps with publication mostly and Konami already has a better division for that.

Hudson Entertainment Closing Down

It should be noted that Hudson Soft itself is not closing down

Thats a bad title then. Or is entertainment just in the us publishers name.
Not meaning to attak or anything but if there was one thing i would change about the escapist it would be the sensationalist and consistently factually wrong titles. So im way oversensitive with that stuff^^

It seems that the times are changing and games are more and more being developed in the west. It'll be a shame if western games take over completely, I liked the difference and strange things in many of the Japanese games. Only time will tell, I suppose. I hope the employees can find work doing what they love.

I'm sure they will be fine; most of the games made by that studio are iPhone-type games, and that market is huge right now.

As long as the Bomberman games are intact, I'm fine. (although a bit sad taht someone is losing their job, but that happens every day)
