Wow that video was just terrible. The construct is kinda cool and the floating rings moreso but ,jeez, watching that made ME feel awkward.

Shame it's the version from those god awful platform games though. I remember eagerly opening my Megadrive box and ramming in the sonic game only to find it annoyed the hell out of me I even enjoyed the built in Alex Kid game more.

The only good sonic games are the two adventures and that rather nice Bioware game I'm currently playing...

Most 'great' games I can honestly say I enjoy and deserve their place in gaming history but Sonic and I never got along.

I put some hours into that first game but it just refused elicit more than a 'meh' there's just something about it I didn't like.

Wow this is incredible, I hope SEGA is watching because this should inspire them to stop making the crappy Sonic games they've been making lately and make games with some actual heart in them. Sonic 4 is a great start, though it's not being Developed by SEGA.

Not as impressive, it has a lot of big flat pieces and the characters are just printed and cut around. Good for them though it is nice.

But SA1 wasn't even that good. In fact, it sucked just as hard as SA2.

Perhaps for you. I honestly enjoyed SA1, SA2, and Heroes. But then again, I'm used to being in the minority on these kinds of things.

The general consensus is that new Sonic sucks, old Sonic rocks. Your mileage may vary when it comes to which game sucked the hardest first, but again, the general consensus is that Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 were okay/pretty good/great, and then every 3D Sonic after that was nigh unplayable. Again, this isn't the rule, but it's what most people can agree on. There are certainly exceptions *cough* Unrulyhandbag *cough* Onyx Oblivion *hack*

Personally, I loved SA1, and was somewhat disappointed with SA2, but I liked it anyway. I haven't bothered playing a Sonic game since :/

As douchey as this makes me sound, that's not all that impressive. It's boxes with some paper cutout standees on it.

I'd have been more impressed if he had at least used a blue ball for the checkpoint rather than a cube! it's not all that hard to make a cardboard cylinder for the bridge pieces
either.

As a seriously amateur papercrafter in my youth, I'm mildly offended by the lack of effort shown.

I thought it was pretty sweet. I thought the same thing about the blue sphere though.

Although I couldn't agree less with your opinion on the games, I gotta agree about the video. If I built something with that much effort and pride, I would be jazzed to show it off. That guy was ridiculously awkward.

I'm glad you guys threw in the "Since the first Sonic Adventure" part. It annoys me when people say all 3D Sonic games suck, since the first Sonic Adventure was pretty good.
