I've just seen some reports saying that Hugh Hefner is dead. And I was wondering if someone with better interweb-fu could confirm or deny it.

I personally reckon he was a bit of a pioneer in the porn and magazine industries. Through Playboy, he brought people out of the dark in regards to thinking in different ways.

If he really is dead, rest in peace porno god dude!

What are your thoughts on him and what he's done? Hero or villian? Classy or vulgar?

Just saying you saw 'reports' isn't enough without some kind of proof. Give us a link and we'll start to give opinions. Until then, unproven claim.

If he is dead, I really couldn't care less. He just strikes me as an incredibly dirty old man, and his "contributions" to society aren't exactly worth praising.

According to that he's alive. Put me down for "vulgar" btw; wandering around in your bathrobe isn't classy. Whether hero or villain I have no comment on. He's no one special IMO, he just happens to be a rich old dude with a harem of willing blondes.
