The headline of the article worries me.
Wolverine is not supposed to be a thought provoking character. Yes, some events that happen to him in the comics can possbily cause some thought process, but the character himself is bassically a 5-foot Canadian ball of fury. He's an action hero, not a thriller hero. The ideal reaction for a movie like this should be "F*** yeah! Wolverine is a badass!" not "Wow... what a thought-provoking movie"
Still, i wish Marvel Studios had the license to this movie instead of Fox. Wolverine would fit very well in the Avengers plot. He knows Nick Fury and Captain America, and Wolverine's comic debut was actually in the Hulk comic.
As for Deadpool in Origins: Yes, the lazer eyes were stupid, but i honestly can think of a way out of this. 1: He rips the blades out of his arms, and cuts his mouth open, leaving him horribly disfigured like in the comics. 2: After having his head unattatched for so long, it messed up a few of his powers, as in he lost the lazer vision. 3: With the base destroyed, he now regains his senses (or most of them, anyway). TA-DA! A 19-year old just managed to out-do whatever excuse is going to be used without resorting to a reboot!
