Sounds good to me - I really enjoyed Origins, and I can't get enough of miserable protagonists.
I think you're the first person I've seen who actually LIKED Origins.
Interesting back-story, good fight scenes, solid acting, sometimes humourous, sometimes emotionally-engaging.

Exactly what I wanted and exactly what I got - it ran slightly too long, which is probably my only complaint. The biggest ***** fit seems to be centred around the Deadpool design, but frankly I couldn't give a crap; the old Deadpool's still in the other media, people need to get over it. He's not been ruined forever because of one film's iteration of him.

LOL.
I liked it myself, although I didn't like the ending. Not specifically because I am a Deadpool fan of sorts, but because... seriously, a child could have come up with that plot device.

I too found that person's ignorance quite the moment for hilarity.
Yeah, they dropped the ball with the silver adamantium bullets, but I found the rest was highly enjoyable.

I'll believe it when I see it. X-Men to me lose all credibility when they show up on the silver screen. I'll wait for reviews before I set foot into another X-men movie. That's not a new thing for me, been doing that since the second X-men movie.

It won't. Or it will and it'll suck.

Face it, you can't have hackyslash and deep philosophy unless you address one of the tenets of the human condition. And Wolvie's a Homo Superior.

Brain in a jar? Matrix did it.
Plato's Cave? Who Framed Roger Rabbit. And the Matrix.
Descartes Cognito Ergo Sum? Existenz/Matrix

I suppose you could do Nietzsche's Ubermensch but Magneto already nicely covered that.

Try as he might, the only philosophical conundrum Wolvie will ever solve is the Gordian Knot.

Snikt

And he does that every scene anyway.

I'm kinda done with X-Men and Wolverine especially after the died up regurgitation that was X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Darren Aronofsky, Hugh Jackman, and Christopher McQuarrie? Fucking. Boner. The Fountain is one of my favorite movies of all time, and Requiem for a Dream and his other movies...ugh. Man. I should be pessimistic based on how bad the first movie was (though I personally enjoyed it because of Hugh Jackman, I knew it was pretty horrendous), but I honestly can't see this going wrong in any way possible with that kind of crew. Of course, that's what they said about Congo...

I enjoyed all of the X-Men movies, so if they're promising to make it better then it gets my vote.

On the other hand, I have also seen The Fountain and holy crap I wish I hadn't. As long as they don't do THAT to Wolverine I'll be happy.

I liked orgins as well, for many of the reasons stated above. But yes, the ending was pretty crummy.
Save the people, then fight deadpool, but oh noes, there goes my memory. Oops.
I'm glad there are some other people who liked it. Wasn't the best movie, but by far not the worst.
And if there is a character to make darker, it's wolverine.
I liked the darker take on Deadpool's creation, but giving him laser eyes was a step to far. Yes he can teleport (using a special device), I can deal with the swords out of hands. But laser eyes? At least they had him break the fourth wall after the credits.

And really, your stupid comic book shit is terrible, but MY stupid comic book shit is better? That's the best this guy can come up with?
Not to mention that Marvel has pretty high critical acclaim when it comes to comic book movies. Things are usually popular for a reason

I was thinking "This is going to be stupid", right up to the word, "Aronofsky". Him...I gotta trust to make a good movie.

The headline of the article worries me.

Wolverine is not supposed to be a thought provoking character. Yes, some events that happen to him in the comics can possbily cause some thought process, but the character himself is bassically a 5-foot Canadian ball of fury. He's an action hero, not a thriller hero. The ideal reaction for a movie like this should be "F*** yeah! Wolverine is a badass!" not "Wow... what a thought-provoking movie"

Still, i wish Marvel Studios had the license to this movie instead of Fox. Wolverine would fit very well in the Avengers plot. He knows Nick Fury and Captain America, and Wolverine's comic debut was actually in the Hulk comic.

As for Deadpool in Origins: Yes, the lazer eyes were stupid, but i honestly can think of a way out of this. 1: He rips the blades out of his arms, and cuts his mouth open, leaving him horribly disfigured like in the comics. 2: After having his head unattatched for so long, it messed up a few of his powers, as in he lost the lazer vision. 3: With the base destroyed, he now regains his senses (or most of them, anyway). TA-DA! A 19-year old just managed to out-do whatever excuse is going to be used without resorting to a reboot!

How would you make a sequel to Scott Pilgrim? It ended. The ex'es are dead.

Actually those work within the context of the Marvel universe. The rock they tried to find in africa was vibranium (an alien metal). The stuff they put in wolverine was adamantium a derived alloy from vibranium. The bullets in the gun I assume was just pure vibranium. Vibranium varies in the comics (there's an energy absorbing form and a form that breaks down metals) but usually it's tougher than the synthetic adamantium. So yeah the gun would work, but what was completely stupid was not giving Agent Zero (the asian guy who was good with guns) that pistol in the first place.

Huh, didn't know that - thanks.

It's still a stupid theory though. I think people get the whole man-wolf vibe enough without needing a werewolf slaying rip-off.

Bad Marvel!

The title for the article was too tempting to not do this:
