Hunter X Hunter 131

Now I've seen a lot of fights but that ass whoopin' was legendary. So legendary in fact, that I felt compelled to make a thread about it. We don't get many Hunter X Hunter threads here on the escapist but I can sense that there is a lot of Hunter X Hunter fandom.
My personal favorite part was when they reveal adult gon and you know that pitou stands absolutely no chance of survival. The sense of dread on her face was something to behold. The people behind the animation have a great sense of bringing the emotions felt by the characters to light. This can only be done through good writing but the animation is important as well.
I just wonder, since I don't read the book, does it get better than this? What do you think?

In a sense, yes, it does get better, the ending of the Chimera Ant arc is one of the saddest and beautiful things I've read and I look forward to seeing it animated.

The Gon vs Pitou fight was on a whole other level, but it wasn't really a fight, it was a one sided massacre and I like the fact that even though Gon avenged Kite, it still didn't feel like a victory. It was really about a boy who after experienced so many messed up things finally snaps and by activating that kind of power, not only is he destroying himself physically, but the kid is damaged mentally as well and he just doesn't care, it's pretty heart-breaking actually. But still, amazing episode, animation was beautiful, soundtrack, perfect, everything flowed so well.
