Hunting Games

So then whats to start with this i used to play hunting games when i was younger and now that im older ive went onto the cabela games.

I feel the genre now has went into poor tastes because instead of having a free roam shooter its more you get told off for shooting w.e you want. I got kicked from the hunt for shooting birds on the rule of "You don't shoot birds".

So really is there now any hunting games out there where i can go out and shoot what i want (in game).
Also i know they want to try and keep it realistic but i think they lost the feel of that when they made the main guy you play as move a jeep with his bare hands.

Yeah I have heard good things, never tried it myself - haven't got a good enough PC. It would be cool if they released it on XBLA or PSN though.

Basically you hunt animals. With Guns... errr yeah that's about it.

I am now imagining GTA with Deer and Elk in stead of hookers and cops. I don't know whether to be amused or frightened.

Why just deer or elk maybe you want to hunt pheasant or pigeon maybe even panda i know hunting panda is illegal but isn't that what games are about doing what we carn't do in real life.

I don't ether, honestly if they made it sorta like splinter cell were you had to hide and lay traps it might be fun to play, but the ones they have right now are just sorta blah

Yeah...

I play online shooters as a sniper. It simply feels like a progression to the Most Dangerous Game.

Oh well if you made a game like The Most Dangerous Game it would probably be awesome!

Honestly, I don't really play these kind of games. I like playing as a sniper online, but I haven't really played any good hunting games to date

There's no such thing as pigeon hookers or pheasant cops.

But yeah, these kinda games can be fun, simply because I get bored of hunting people all the time in other games.

I know an epic game in the Source engine called I Predator. It just came out, I found a leaked beta of the Shark vs Seal version (cheetah vs gazelle is public), and my god it rocks. Epic win.

Does anyone know of a PC hunting game similar to the arcade game "Buck Hunter" where you can use a gun as a USB device instead of using the mouse?
