I'd like to talk to you guys about hype, more specifically PC Hype. Why, you might ask?
You probably know most big-budget games these days come out on consoles first, PC after. I'm fine with this because I know consoles are where all the money is at, but what really annoys me is when it's 2 or 3 months, sometimes even half a year since consoles have got it, PC gets it

I understand that this gives the impression they're adding more to it, and in many cases this is true (see: Assassin's Creed Series) but Assassin's Creed is also one of the series I have issues with, it's been the best part of 3 months since Brotherhood was released for consoles. GTA4 is another example. Half a year. I also don't like lazy PC ports (Saints Row 2, Call of Duty: Black ops)

So yeah, I'm open to debate about this one.

Poking fun at the Elite PC Master race is not a good idea.
Alienware and HomeBuilders unite at times like these, So you might ana adjust your attitude.
There are a mass of games that would only ever work on a PC.
PC is far more powerful and capable of greater resolutions. Not to mention the grand mass of "free" games you can get.
MMO, MMORPG, RTS, True FPS(meaning not crummy and limited Joysticks unless you buy a Keyboard mouse modder box like XIM3), Modding, Steam, Realism and Simiulation...
All excellent reasons to drop your console and get a PC.
Well see heres the thing about PC, PC is always main and you can add on to your gaming experiance by buying a console. PCs are so much more capable of games and mutlimedia than a console.
You can use your PC as a tv if you wanted.

Besides the scariest game of all time is on PC.
Amnesia the Dark Decent.
If you want to truely be scared out of your bloodymind and wanna know what its like to be in a horror film and nearly piss yourself and run crying, and i mean LITERALLY crying and screaming, You HAVE to play Amnesia.
AS a horror fan and a hard to scare person Amnesia just takes the cake, I still get chills thinking about that game.
well i- wait what? he's complaining about PC ports taking so long to come out and then being crap, like saints row 2.

When did he?
I'm not saying you're wrong, just you quoted him and then talked about something he didn't bring up.

Oh and I didn't find Amnesia scary at all.

I'm not. I'm a PC gamer. Read what I said.

I'm not talking about how games would only work on PC, I'm only saying that in most cases, a delayed PC release means lack of hype and nobody buys it.

do you understand or do I have to go even simpler?

A bit over protective aren't we? Not to mention nothing you said had any relevance to what OP was talking about.

OT: Not really much to say, lazy and late PC ports suck balls, that's about it. Also a point to be raised is that they think they are going to be doing a good thing(by releasing the game on the pc at all as if its beneath them.) by releasing it later on the PC, only to have all the console reviews come in and if your game is shit, what market you had on the pc just shrunk dramatically.

Lack of hype for a PC port usually isn't a problem. In fact, it is a boon for PC gamers because we have the benefit of having all the reviews of a specific game before the product we want is released. If we want to buy the port of the game we will already know if it was a gem or piece of crap.

The only thing a PC player needs when it comes to ports is patience.

Then again.
The PC has some games that will never go to the consoles.

I actually think my ps3 gets the worst deal sometimes: it sometimes (not as often as it used to at least) has to wait for ports and (what still happens way too frequently) it often gets really gimped out versions of games.
The PC has been getting some really gimpy ports this gen too but usually the mods can get it under control whereas the ps3 version is just screwed. Example - Fallout New Vegas.
