Meh.

I'm still waiting for information on Thief 4.

Then you'll see the extent of my fanboy.

Portal 2
Mass Effect 3
Uncharted 3
Star Wars: The Old Republic

Yeah, I'm probably gonna die of excitement sometime in 2011.

This! I love the Thief series. I didn't however hear any updates about thief 4. Does it have a release date or trailer at all?

I also look forward to Uncharted 3, Bioshock: Infinite and Alan Wake 2.

None of the above. And something tells me we may officially declare it vaporware.

Rest in peace, Garrett. I'll always love you more than my own son.

Dissidia Duodecim, every Tuesday or Wednesday makes me more hyped for the game than the previous week. Every week since TGS it's been a character reveal, newly added mechanics, more depth on the character revealed a week prior ect. Just one OMGSQUEEE!! moment after another.

I wanted a sequel and I got one with a fuck ton of new content and tweaks. If they reveal online play then it can do no wrong. March/April can't come any sooner.

At the moment, only Portal 2 and The Old Republic. I'd be all over ME3 but based completely off a trailer, I dunno.

I'm going to be broke or in debt by January 1st 2012. So many good games coming out in 2011. If I don't go broke, I'll gain weight from playing so many awesome games for many hours.

If I had to pick one? I don't know man.. I really don't. I'm excited for quite a few, but it would probably have to be Mass Effect 3, followed by Deus Ex. I shouldn't even list Mass Effect, honestly, because it's set in stone that it's going to blow everyone's socks off. So, "others", would be Deus Ex definitely, and the Witcher 2.

halo3 3 seriously injured the gaming fanboy within me, and ME2 brutally murdered what little bit of optimism i had left. no hype is enough to invoke anything other than callous skepticism from me now.

Eidos Montreal, the creators of the new Deus Ex, Human Revolution.. you know, the makers of this nerdgasm trailer:

.. are said to be working on Thief 4, and it's a little more than a year behind Human Revolution. Thief 4's conception is no doubt hinged on Human Revolution's success.

(That is seriously one of the greatest game trailers I've ever seen. It fits the times, it's slick, the music is outstanding.. and it's Deus Ex. Also, I can't wait to hear more music from Michael McCann.)

My inner fanboy died in 2006.[sub](Except for dragons, of course. I will always have room for those)[/sub]

I'm watching all of mainstream gaming contract into these pockets of utter stagnation. How can I not expect every game to follow the same boring rubberstamp pattern now? That's especially true now for all of these games that are being remade/rebooted just because their name invokes nostalgia.

Mainstream productions have reached the ceiling, and so must innovation die. At least until the market collapses.
