It's simple. Say that there was a backdoor code you could enter into any computer, at any time. Say that if you had a computer game open, whether it was proper PC or emulated (variants do exist for every console in existence, though), any characters on-screen would become self-aware and able to talk to you, and you could talk back to them. However, the characters only become fully sentient on your entertainment network, and are (for the most part) unable to cross over to anyone else's.

If you came across a piece of paper containing the code, like how Light Yagami (and several threads here) finds his Death Note, what would you do with it? Type it in, but only once, then burn it? Type it in a bunch of times, and over at friends' places? Post it on Wikileaks? Burn it without using it? And which console (for sake of argument, PC is also a 'console') and characters would you be most likely to use it on?

Hellooooo Tali!
..
But in seriousness, try it out to see if it works, see if it's me just going crazy first, then go give it to scientists. FOR SCIENCE!
Because let's face it, it would change the way we see the universe.

Take it, play Digimon World, live childhood dreams.

Calumon: But I'm already in games. I'm in a game and meet myself?

Interesting idea. Me, I've played a surprising amount of games where me and my sister used to have 'in-context' dialogue filling the blanks. I also don't think I've ever seen someone here post as themselves and their avatar simultaneously. And I know that mine is at least slightly technology literate...if that fan comic with the pocket calculator is anything to--

Stay on topic, X.

Sorry about that. Anyway, just wanted to clarify, there are really no wrong answers. So, whatever you think is a good idea, you can say. I won't think any worse of you.
