I was just wondering if I was the only person having problems displaying all the pictures on The Escapist. It seems that everyones avatars and badges and all the other little pictures are displayed as question marks in boxes. I've got a screen shot here so you can see what I mean.

This just started happening when i moved to my new apartment and started to use this new wireless router. I'm not sure if this has been happening to someone else or if it is just my connection. Could anyone offer their words of wisdom?

That was happening to me, but then I just waited about a week and It got fixed, I think it must be your router.

I'm using Safari and i've reset the cache, but it still doesn't work. I will try to reset the router in a little while since I am not the only person using the wireless internet.

I just checked the error log for the browser and it says "A server with the specified hostname could not be found" any ideas on how to fix this?

You could try accessing the site with IE / firefox.

Also, like it says in the status bar, choose window/ activity. See what that tells you.
I'm goin with this guys opinion. Also, has it always been like this for you on the Escapist or has it begun recently?

This just started happening yesterday when I was able to re-connect to the internet. The escapist usually loaded okay. looking at the activity log it looks like it can't find the server for anything that is related to: cdn.themis-media.com.

EDIT: Opening the pages with IE and Firefox hasn't brought an end to the missing pictures :(

that's the router doing that

tho you could try a dns flush, tho unplugging and replugging the router and that will definitely fix the issue

I've noticed that in win7 and vista, browsers other than IE can get blocked by the windows firewall. It's worth checking to make sure either it's turned off, or the apps are allowed through.

Also worth noting I had to manually allow google chrome to access the 'net in Kaspersky's net security prog before I could see pictures as anything other than a broken link icon.
