Words can not describe the sheer amount of excruciating pain I'm in at this moment. Everything on me aches.

My eyes are killing me, my head hurts, I feel dehydrated, and my throats dry and scratchy.

Why am I in such pain?

Because I can't fucking sleep.

I never thought I'd be in such pain from just sleep depravation. I've been up for 68 hours. I was in bed last night for 8 hours just staring at the ceiling, unable to sleep. No matter how hard I try, I just can't sleep. I'm amazed I'm able to type right now.

So, what should I do Escapist to finally get some sleep?

And for discussion, what's the most pain you've ever been in or how long have you gone without sleep. Either one of those. I don't care. I'm too tired to care which one you pick.

Have you actually tried to go to bed? After 68 hours awake it's usually easy from there.

Even though it'll probably hurt like the dickens, go out and run/exercise/move about, something to burn off all remaining energy. Or try medication. Or a warm shower, say fuck-it mid way through, and take a water-nap.

The most pain?
I dun wanna say. It's pretty TOO-much-information.

You should be able to get a couple of those at your local chemist. Two of those'll knock out a Rhino hooked on coke.

Get some sleeping pills or something.

42 Hours is my most time without sleep

My knee exploding is the worst pain I have been in

Get some sleeping pills?
Or watch the shopping channels on TV. That'll get you to sleep faster than a very fast thingy.

Most pain was probably getting my head cut open.
Longest without sleep was probably 30ish hours.

The peace of the grave is eternal...
Seriously though, I find that an excessive amount of alchohol helps me sleep, and by 'help' I mean pass out.

Why do you stay up for 68 hours, gaming addict? Lost a bet?

Did neither of you notice where I said "I was lying in bed for 8 hours, unable to sleep?"

I'm guessing I have insomnia

Ram your head into a wall until you go unconcious.
Some of my friends in the military said that they actually made themselves pass out to fall asleep faster, albeit not by that method.

If you aren't exaggerating, you need to see a doctor. People can die from sleep deprivation around the 72-96 hour mark.

You should go to a doctor. Normal people fall asleep when they're tired-- it's, like, some sort of biological thing or whatever.

Seriously though-- you probably should take something. I take melatonin when I have trouble sleeping. It seems to help me fall asleep and stay asleep all night. But those symptoms of yours sound rather intense, so I would suggest going to a doctor to get something more potent.

I recommend pills or tranquilizers.

On a more serious note, what's bothering you so bad that makes you unable to sleep?

I was up for 68 hours once, and going to bed after that is actually quite hard... After so long it seems like its hard to convince your body to sleep! I finally got some sleep medicine and slept for 19 hours... Recommend you go to your doctor and get some too!

I'm sorry to hear that. =]
Have you tried sleeping pills?

Also, someone's going to say it eventually, so it might as well be me: masturbation works wonders.

Um...

I guess you could go down an entire bottle of drowsy-formula cough syrup. Even if it doesn't get you to sleep then at least the drugs in it will make the sleep-deprivation caused hallucinations you're probably going to start having soon that much more trippy.
