So, I bought the new Deus Ex title, brought it home, booted it up and was blown away. Despite the occasional instances of dodgy voice-acting, the game is a bloody masterpiece.
The only major problem arises from my inability to sneak well. I've got the controls down, I can understand the importance of the radar and I know all about patrol patterns, yet I still keep getting caught. This leads to me having to shoot my way out of scenarios, which isn't really how I'd like to play the game.
I'm going for a stealth/close combat build of the Batman variety, but it's very difficult toget anywhere, and the constant reloading is starting to annoy me.
Anyway, I'm on a mission where I don't want to kill the guards for moral reasons, and I was wondering if any stealth veterans here could furnish me with some useful advice. I'm two missions in, so my energy cells are few in number and my cloaking is short of duration.

Sounds like how I started out. Once you unlock more Augmentation upgrades, stealthing should be much easier and more and more paths will become clear. Once you get the hang of it then you'll probably start to enjoy it even more. If not, then you can always opt for an agressive supersoldier playstyle.
