I'm trying to get into minecraft, but when i put in my details, it says" the name is strange, please only use the letters ABC ect" So can anyone help me in my hour of need. By the way, can i get free minecraft? Just wondering.

You can get Minecraft Classic for free, but I cannot put to words how much better the real thing is. Classic is like the paid version with its legs cut out from under it. (And yet, it's still pretty fun. Kinda says something about the game, don't you think?)Eico said:

Anyways, buy it. You get the full game for free when it is released, and you can play multiplayer. It's only about $20. I bought it back in Alpha, and have not regretted the purchase. I have gotten so much enjoyment out of the game that it has long covered the price I payed.

A lot of my friends (including some of them who have even actually purchased it) have been having problems with Minecraft lately.
For some reason, they're suddenly getting "can't create java virtual machine" errors when tying to run the program.
Personally, I haven't been having any problems, but it makes me wonder what's going on. I'm to understand that Notch has been pretty flaky as of late; I have no idea what causes problems with the JVM to occur, maybe he fucked something up in the coding somewhere.
