Recently I have been having some trouble with my 360.
I am going to say this now so that I don't get told the same thing over and over.
I have already looked on the Microsoft Support page and couldn't find anything that would explain my problem.

I got Brotherhood a few days ago and so far playing has been great fun. However, yesterday, I started having some problems with not just brotherhood but the entire console.
I think it may be mainly to do wit my hard drive but what do I know.
When ever I put in Brotherhood and start to play it, it says it cannot save the game because my Hard Drive is not connected... when it very clearly is connected.
It then follows that error up with a swift inability to continue reading the disc, and kicks me back to the main menu, where my Live profile has been totally reset; no gamer score, no avatar, nothing. I've checked the disc for any marks and there was none. I then checked the information on my Hard Drive and EVERY SINGLE profile save has been corrupted.

So now I come to you for help escapists. What is wrong with it? I'm trying to avoid sending in to Microsoft but will I have to?

EDIT:I have tried blowing in the hard drive ports multiple times. It didnt seem to work

have you tried removing the hard drive and blowing on the two ports NES style and puting it back in? it might be just lose. or needs an OS update.

Hard drives fail a lot ... might need to be replaced.
It sounds like the hard drive can still be accessed, if a royal mess, which means the data is most likely recoverable (if you have data recovery software .. err .. on a PC).

Shit man, things aren't looking too good. I hate to say it, but I think you're gonna have to send it in. Is your warranty past it's time?

No my warranty is still good...
Although it seems to have fixed itself in every way except when ever I try to play multiplayer, it deems the disc unreadable and kicks me to the Live main menu, which I suppose is an improvement from kicking me whenever I tried to play the game at all...

Still, you probably should get the thing repaired.
'cos you know it will break down completely .. and while the downtime is inevitable, the loss of save game data is not.
