I'm not speaking from personal experience here mind, but only from what i've heard from bits and bobs with regards to jobs and careers after university. But these bits and bobs have also told me that questions such as "Describe a time when you have shown leadership skills" and "Describe a time when you have shown team-work ability" are also popular.

Well I generally don't get to proud over things. I was pretty happy when I graduated High School. I'm sure there were a couple of times that I did something awesome while playing video games as well. And there was that one time that everyone complimented me for my hand-ball goalying during PE. Felt pretty good then too.

I'd say..finishing the AIDS walk with my feet completely cut open (because I was stupid and wore sandals), Getting accepted into my school of choice twice (for medical reasons, and going onto a third because I can't afford their out of state tuition and need to get residency), getting my first job and doing well at it..and when I get my first apartment in a few weeks, that too.

I've had that reaction a few times.
1. Getting in to the university I really wanted.
2. Graduating high school.
3. Climbing the nastiest mountain of my life (14,000 feet above sea level and godawfully steep).
4. Successfully baking the most kick-ass cinnamon rolls I've ever tasted.
And in three and a half years, God willing, I'll graduate college and get commissioned as a U.S. Army officer. That will definitely be one... provided I can whip my geeky ass into that of a halfway decent leader. You can't be an officer and be less-than-cool. Crossing my fingers.

Let's see, I was really proud of myself the first time I killed a deer. Additionally, I was freaking ecstatic about the first solo flight I took. Actually, I have alot of really neat things I'm proud of, but I don't really ever tell others about them because, well, I don't know why.
Well, I guess I'm still a tad too young to have any great accomplishments yet, though there are a couple;
- Graduating with a B average
- Getting accepted in the Norwegian University of Natural Science and Technology (leading in Northern Europe)

Hmm my proudest accomplishment (in gaming) was building a MASSIVE fort/base/thing in Minecraft, its a sprawling construction that took alot of man hours and half my remaining sanity.
"Well you think, nice but its just a fort, so what?" Well usually I don't play games for long. If I play an MMO its to level 20 or so then i quit. FPS get a few playthrough's of SP and a couple of hours into MP.
Minecraft I probably spent over 100 hours on. Not bad for a game that was made by one person, You beat WoW, CoD and Crysis!

First, congratulations! That's quite the accomplishment! For me, my big moment of pride came earlier this year.
I'm the consummate Speech and Debate Nerd. I was blessed enough that half-way through there year I hooked up with a partner I had never even met before who ended up being the best damn debater I'd ever met. We worked well together, and ended up breaking into our Regional competition. We were two places away from going to Nationals, and I was in tears when I read my ballots on the way home: We were just one round away. If we had won one more preliminary round, our combined speaker points would have brought us up into the top 6 teams.
As salt in the wounds, one of the top teams dropped out and the spot rolled to a girl from my club who just so happened to have broke my best friend's heart a few weeks beforehand. I wasn't a happy camper. But then one night I was just goofing around on Facebook, and I got a message from one of my friends who had qualified. She told me that she and her family were going out of the country that summer, and so she had to decline her spot. She then told me that my partner and I were the next in line.
I got my ass on a plane, flew to Virginia Beach, and had a great tournament. The results of it didn't even matter to me once I got there. I had my share of bad experiences while I was there, and the over-all effect was showing me enough corruption in the ranks to make me switch leagues, but the act of getting there, the reward for years of work, is a euphoric high that I will never, ever forget.

Getting placed as first trombone after a very nervous audition made me quite ecstatic. I wanted to be first trombone very badly, but before the audition I practiced the wrong piece most of the time. I was supposed to practice the music that they gave out, but the previous year, due to specific circumstances, I auditioned with a different piece anyway. I thought it was the same way. I was wrong. Nevertheless, I managed to get in as first, and run the trombone section like a beast.

As for me, well I'm only in high-school at the moment but in recent memory getting top in my maths class for the school certificate was pretty awesome...and I'm only in year nine (year ten is the year of the SC). Come to think of it just getting through all my end of year exams was a great load off my shoulders, I now have almost the entire holidays to look forward too with some final semester results I'm really proud of.
Oh, and I baked a batch of ginger bread men (technically bears since that was the best cutter we could find) with my mum today, that was nice.
