I did not like Saving Private Ryan

More on topic, I have to say Saving Private Ryan is quite possibly my favorite movie ever.
The sniper shot sealed it for me.

Meh it was good. Nothing really amazing about it but it was a solid movie. Then again I prefer the Band of Brothers miniseries over just about any other WWII movies/show/whatever.

Yeah, I agree. I think Hanks is a better producer/director than actor, and that series is proof.

I watched the first part of it at my friend's house and I just became incredibly bored with it. I know it's a classic but I just didn't like it at all. Neither Tom Hanks nor Vin Diesel are very good actors and I found the whole plot of the movie rather unreal.

I guess what I'm saying is, how many of you want to kill me now, and how many of you agree with me?

Please be more descriptive of why you didn't like the movie.
From reading your post I learn pretty much nothing about why you didn't like it other than the acting of Tom Hanks, so say more.

exactly. flaming doesnt happen on a blatant command you have to disguise it with a ridiculous premise that is flawed in many ways and only substantiated through imaginary evidence. something like why the final fantasy series needs to die. that would generate a lot of flame.... hmmm

Seconded, I don't know why everyone loves that film so much. Enemy at the Gates is far better, in my humble opinion.
