I don't mind platform exclusives...

...but when one platform gets excluded, it's a bit annoying.

To elaborate, I understand the need for single-platform exclusives. They sell the platform. Such franchises are the driving force by which the major players expand their customer base. And I can accept this. While this means that I don't get to play God of War games, the reasons for this are, well, reasonable.

What does annoy me is when a game comes out on most platforms, but one gets left out. As a mostly PC gamer, I feel a slight pain in my chest when I notice a new game preview, spend about an hour reading up on it and thinking how awesome it looks, only to find out it's coming out on the 360, PS3 (and maybe even the Wii), but for some reason no PC version.

Recent examples of this would be Bayonetta (I love DMC3&4), Darksiders and Final Fantasy XIII. These aren't platform exclusives. They are multiplatform releases that exclude one platform. A while back, I was simmilarly annoyed at Force Unleashed (which even got a Wii version), but a port was made eventually (albeit a rather poor one).

There are (rare) occurences when such things affect one of the two major consoles, with the other console and the PC getting the game, but usually it's my platform that gets the shaft. I don't mind waiting a month or two extra (though Assassin's Creed 2 is pushing it a bit with the 3+ month delay), I don't mind when PC games get pushed back so the console versions can be finished (Dragon Age, I'm looking at you), I can even live with mediocre ports (such as Force Unleashed or Resident Evil 4).

But if a game is developed for multiple platforms, why does mine keep getting skipped over?

Well that happens way too often where PC, Xbox, and PS3 get a game, but Wii owners dont.
Having all the consoles makes sure this dosent happen to me, but yes, they need to fix the problems with some of those games not coming to PC.
