It's a search engine called Spezify. It was featured on one of the blogs I frequent, can't remember which. Anyway, it reminds me of Veidt's wall of TV screens, that he uses to find themes in broadcasting, but for the internet. It's like Google, but visual, and it includes twitter posts.
Here's the site: http://www.spezify.com/
Typical usage tests:
Here's me looking up Neil Gaiman's appearance on Jonathan Coulton's tour. [http://www.spezify.com/#/neil gaiman jonathan coulton]
Here's me looking up President Obama. [http://www.spezify.com/#/barack obama]
Here's me looking up pygmy goats. [http://www.spezify.com/#/pygmy goats]
I'm not sure if such a search engine could replace Google, but this is certainly a neat alternative to that style of search engine.
Anyway, that's enough of me gushing over my latest find. What cool webapps/search engines/sites have you discovered?
