This is a rant. Don't expect more.
Several months ago, my 360 started acting funny. Before long, I began to hear a clicking noise that was immediately followed by my 360 busting out the "Unplayable Disc" error. My warranty was already up. MS refused to do anything about it because I didn't have the RRoD. Apparently, MS only feels that some problems deserve warranty extensions. Since I had nothing to lose, I decided to research the problem to fix it myself. I came to the conclusion that it was the problem people encounter with the glue coming loose on a metal piece, and a magnet above it (What kind of stupid fucking design choice?) pulling it up. After laboriously taking apart my 360, since I had close to nothing to lose at this point, I discovered that I don't even have that drive. My problem remained a mystery, and my games continued to fail at random points. I now loathe the times that I know that I'll have to play something on my 360 because it's an exclusive. Since they just had to beat the competition to the market, they produced a loud system full of shitty parts. All of this just taught me how much I love my PS3. It has yet to betray me, unlike a certain other little shit.
Additionally, I hate the concept that you have to pay a monthly fee in order to play games online. The PS3 may not have everything perfected yet, and the Wii fails miserably at online, but at least they provide it for free. If they are providing dedicated servers, then why do we have to use inaccurate and slow matchmaking options instead of a server list? How about that you have to call to cancel an internet account? Or that you have to use "Microsoft Points"? Instead of making points 1 point to 1 penny, it's a 4 to 5 conversion. They sell them in increments as well. This way you have to buy more than you even need so they can secure more purchases out of you. Then, since you've left yourself with an awkward amount, you have to buy another increment instead of just what you need.
I'd like to say I feel better, but then I would be a liar. Fuck MS.
