A week or so ago I made an observation. Playing through Xenoblade Chronicles and having trouble on certain parts made me often yell profanity and a lot of "I HATE THIS #@**$@$(*@ GAME!!!." Moreso this happened a few years back playing Demon's Souls, and I'm sure it will happen even more when I finally get up the courage to start playing Dark Souls.
Now I reflect. Xenoblade and Demon's Souls I absolutely loved and will stay fresh in my mind. Xenoblade wasn't extremely difficult, but it did have some tough sections and some of the side quest collecting got a tad frustrating.
So, my point here is that the most rewarding experiences in gaming come from these angry moments. I notice I love games ironically that make me shout about how I hate them, while other games I coast through just give me an "eh" feeling.
