rpg thingie training your skills and customizing your char

well...in theory such a game exists....it just wasnt done right...:s

it never is gta4 was a giant diassapointment as freedom was cut down to run around killing people then get chased by fat cops and escaping just to drive your fat cousin to some stuff to feed him and the customizing was bad.

the closest game i can remember is gta san andreas

but those arent rpgs...:s

sorry but character customization doesnt qulify it to be an rpg...i can see what you mean with skills as there are things like stemina and muscle but...meh....rpgishishishishishishishishish is as close as they get :s
