If he likes to dig holes, Simon.
Nah, it's gotta be Honeydew
That's right. I found it interesting I could remember his name, but not the character's name.
Probably because Lewis (Xephos) calls him by his real name instead of Honeydew more often than not.
Freaking ninjas.

Also, Lewis and TotalBiscuit don't call him Simon. They call him: "SIIIIIIMOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!"

Any suggestions?

Yes.

Observe his behavior. Tell us his demeanor.

Give us a picture. (Doesn't everyone have a digital camera of some sort? Sure, I don't, but the rest of you should!)

Finally, give it a respectful name. Don't name it as a joke. That's rude.

After you produce the first two pieces of info, I think I could help name it better.
I got four photos now.

HAMSTER [http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/4291/hamster4.jpg]
That last one had to be cropped significantly because, well, let's just say my room isn't family-friendly. But it was the best close-up shot I could get of him because he likes to move around a lot, so I didn't think it wise to wait around for another chance. Pictures taken from the cage and then my bed. (Don't worry, I wouldn't take him out of the cage unattended.)

Personality-wise, he likes to move around a lot and is very curious. Kind of shy about being picked up, but that might just be because he doesn't know me very well yet. I think he likes the smell of butter because he was sniffing my keyboard like crazy when I let him climb on my laptop. Like most hamsters, he loves to run on his wheel. He also tends to sit inside his little hamster hut when he's napping. Has not bit me even once yet, but climbs around a lot when he's on my hands.

These are all great name suggestions so far, but keep 'em coming. Y'know, I really like the idea of a Russian name for some reason. Not a necessity, but keep that in mind if you know of any good ones. "Makarov" was an awesome villain. Hmm...

Boo is the obvious answer.

Then you can carry him around.
He points. You punch.
Sternly glare at anyone who tries to take him away.

I'm gonna be perfectly honest, not a fan of "Butters" or "Ned". But since he likes the smell of butter, I'm adding "The King of Town" to the list of names I might go with. Bonus points to anyone who knows why.

My suggestion: Cthulhu

My reason:

Belloc (sp?) means friend in Elvish, I think. It's the password to the Mines of Moria.

Wow, that was an epic fail of epic proportions. If anyone has the time to put a face palm picture in, I would highly approve. I have no idea why I thought it was the name of the Indiana Jones villain. Ah well thank you very much. I'm going to run away in shame.

So I got a new dwarf hamster. He's got black eyes, a light brownish back with a grayish stripe on it, and a white underside. Now I need to come up with a name for my new furry friend. Preferably something awesome. So far I've considered "Reznov", "Jiro", "Taro", "Saburo", "The Chief", "Baron-O-Beefdip", and pretty much all of the names of Hamtaro characters.

Any suggestions?

What this great person said. I had a hamster named Boo because of that game, and he lived forever, Boo is a great way to guarantee your hamster will be epic.

"Boo go for the eyes!"

Going with the logic of huge guys being called tiny, maybe something like magnus.
