For Linear Algebra. I have about 200 pages worth of material to cover in this span of time since I've done absolutely nothing for the class in over a month.

Should I do random homework problems for the 9 hours? Read the book carefully? What do you think is best way to learn material (yes... learn)?

Learn the basic formula's and where they apply - or sneak them onto your calculator

And remember, kids in primary school can do algebra

[] + 5 = 10

Honestly, at this point I would have given up.I probably would play video games, fall asleep, then cram as much as I could in the last hour before the mid-term.
But I only did that in courses I was confident with... So it's not always the best solution. (And I should mention that I dropped out of university that way, and not showing up to classes)

Good Luck!

Only pencils allowed for this midterm.

And this isn't algebra. It's linear algebra. I'm currently learning the different between a column space and the basis for a column space. What the purpose of either is... I have no idea.

1. get the hell of escapist, facebook, myspace, youtube etc
2. go over things you don't know, read examples and do the hardest 5 then move on
3. hurry!

You my friend, are fucked. The fact that you came on here instead of getting on with it proves you do not have what it takes to get it done.
Btw thats not a personal attack just a observation. I had 3 months to do this paper for my school and ended up lying to the teacher to get a additional 3 days. I think my mother has died like 3 times soo far according to school records. <.<
Lol... well so far it hasn't been too bad. I'm still in good academic standing and I go to a pretty rigorous school supposedly (UC Berkeley). Luckily linear algebra isn't as hard as two previous math classes I've taken.

Anyway, I'll be back next time my brain temporarily shuts down to glance over to see if there are any more suggestions.

I recommend you spend the time memorising definitions and theorms and just hope you have the intrinsic mathematical ability to apply them correctly when the time comes.

Join the club. Heck I did an important term paper on a book I didn't read in a little under two hours, throwing in random references to Tom Cruise, and I still got a B on the sucker! But yeah, dropped out due to those inane Science courses they were making me take. 8:30AM? come on!

I'm aware of the difference, I was making a slight joke to potentially motivate you.

Good luck.

Join the military. No more worrying about linear algebra; now you just have to worry about dodging bullets. A lot less stressful than you think.
