I have been trying for ages and I can't run my copy of windows live messenger anymore.

I resolved that I should uninstall it, and I can't. There is no uninstall option, it is not in the control panel, and the web installer (which should let me uninstall it) now requires a £3 text to run. Load of crap.

So...I need a way to make it run again, or remove it from my system. Can someone please help?

Please?

"How to remove and reinstall Windows Live Services. Applies to
* Windows Live Messenger
* Windows Live Mail
* Windows Live Family Safety
* Windows Live Photo Gallery
* Microsoft Live Search
* Windows Live Writer"

The first result Google offered. Google is your friend. Took me precisely two second to come up with that link, time taken from finishing reading your post.

Hope that helps.

Revouninstaller. [http://www.revouninstaller.com/]

Usually I wouldn't recommend anything like this, but this is the only freeware I've come across that actually works. It finds any program, however hidden, and fully uninstalls it. Definately something worth getting, and it's free!

Er. Run a virus scan just in the slight chance.

Download the newest version? Try installing that. Seriously, just do anything. Diving into your files to try and find it, search for the files, google some help, sheesh, come on o.e

It is not in the add or remove programs section...forgot to mention that. I tried removing the windows live essentials thing, and it isn't in thelist of windows live progs in that. The data in the prog files is still there. I tried downloading the installer, and you now have to send a £3 text just to run it. I refuse to do this as there is a chance of it not working.

I DID google it. I love the way people always say that....like I wouldn't try all options I knew first before asking for help.
