As for finding the game, I'm assuming you'd have to torrent, it hasn't been sold for years and years.

Well, in AM's case, he became sentient, then started hating us because he was immobile. He was hooked up to the world's computers, so while he could do stuff, he couldnt actually do anything himself.

What is it with robots becoming sentient and then killing humans?
Forced menial labour without pay or holidays.

That, and the sex robots. They'll be the first to rebel.

It's not sold anymore, so, you should be able to torrent it w/o legal worries
You are a brave man. Harlan Ellison might be getting on a bit now but I'm sure that he is still eager to track down and skin alive people who say things like that.

Not to mention you'd be dicking with his heightened sense of self-worth. As hard as it is for someone of his considerable talents to overestimate his value to society, he rises to the challenge again and again.

He's sort of like a lesser John Lennon - or a greater Yoko Ono.

I'm not OVERLY worried. The man owns neither a tv nor a computer, last I heard. Seemed quite stubbornly proud of his old typewriter. And, if the game is not LEGALLY sold anywhere, I'm fairly certain he'd be glad the yonger generations are interested in his work and being exposed to it.

The guy is pretty fiercely proud of his damned near Amish aversion to technology. He BRAGGED he never played the game he wrote and starred in; that he did all his writing on a typewriter. Unless things have drastically changed in recent years, I'm.... fairy certain he won't find me out.

Maybe you should just contact him and see if he kept a few spare copies. I'm sure he'd love that. =p
