So, is there any kind of mistake you made or twist of fate that you have to incorporate in your daily lives that's a little bit unusual/just distracting you from time to time?

-As for me, I am a kidney transplant and will probably have to get back to dialysis when I am about 40. I also have to take a couple of pills for the rest of my life (which isn't that bad compared to the times I had to do dialysis)

- 16 months ago I fucked up a relationship and still can't get the person out of my head

- I am getting too old for my university, but need to attend it for at least two more years

Well due to eating like a waste disposal unit, my stomach acid is shot and i have to take pills for it every day at roughly the same time other wise I hurtle toward projectile vomiting with 24 hours. If i ever get stranded without them I'm screwed totally...probably be the first person to die from being dissolved by his own stomach acid.

I messed up big time in college and had to drop out after my first year, and now may chances of going back are pretty slim... so, yeah.

Didn't spend enough time revising for my exams and correcting my technique problems at school. I am now at a university which isn't too bad, but i am clearly much smarter than most the people here and can't help thinking i let myself down a fair bit as i could have gone to a better one.

The key though for me is to not listen to the voice in my head though! To make the most of what i have, to not complain and try and improve the situation as much as possible! There is no point in wallowing in self-pity, you just need to try and make the most of the situation you are in, even if it is shitty.

I had corrective jaw surgery. I had to take medications in the months leading up to, and after the surgery, I could not eat solid food for months, I had to fly to California once ever 2 months for post surgical exams and I just had a problem so I had to go back on muscle relaxants and I have to return to California in June.

Wow, dude. What did you eat that could permenantly damage your stomache acid?
It was a combination of fatty foods, a couple of chain stomach bugs and ham.

I shall explain.

Ya know how every 7 years or so you have a completely new body? Your metabolism can change, your tastes can change etc? Well a couple of years ago pork products, like processed ham from the deli counter started making me sick whenever i ate them. Took me a while to narrow it down to deli counter ham. Doesn't matter which deli counter its from, tesco, asda, morrisons, it all makes me vomit. I caught a couple cases of gastritus (where my stomach was still producing higher acid levels even though the stomach bug is gone.) and now my stomach acid is pretty much permanently on high production. So I'm stuck on lansoprazole for the rest of my life. It's a drug that inhibits the production of stomach acid.

My love of pork broke my stomach =(

Not as serious as some of the stuff here, but the fact that I lost my ignorance about the world is something I have to carry along with me.

Ignorance is bliss, but once you know the truth, you ain't happier for it.

Some call it cynicism, and no cynic is truly happy.

Did a ton of steroids in high school.
Also drank so much caffeine that my brain no longer produces enough serotonin to keep me from having constant migraines. On the plus side to that one, the artificial serotonin that my neurologist gives me has a side effect of getting me so bloody high I can stare at a wall for 6 hours and not be bored.

I have been born with a too low production of both red and white blood particles (about 1/3rd less for both) and narrow veins from my torso onwards, except my head.

I have a very high risk to develop Rheumatoid arthritis(I had to google that in english, might not make sence its a bone/muscle decease that old people tend to get) when I entered puberty but I did not develop it yet, I still have a very high chance to get it near my 50's

Due to this my motorics are very bad, It took me forever to learn how to write and hold a pen properly, and I still cant really write properly. Its a shame this also affects my gaming, ill never have the pure reflexxes and controll to be at the top in any multiplayer game.

I allways had high IQ, but low EQ (Emotionally weak, aka im a pussy) and that caused me to be depressed(Wierd saying this about yourself) since about 16years onwards.

When I finally met a girl I liked, I nearing 17(I am 20 now) I messed that up big time, I still miss her and as a result I shut down completely to all females around my age.

I dropped out of school due to a depression 1.5 years ago, being 1.5 years into my final education level. but I am going back to school coming august. cant wait.

I lost my job 2 weeks ago, a customer tried to strange me after I didnt agree with his wife about payment for an order, I pushed/hit him off me with decent self controll and I got sacked for assult on a customer.
