too true, i do think that a large number of comments were in poor taste. it's like they're the kind of people who look at a piece of art with a naked person in it and accuse it of being porn. It's just nice to know i'm not the only person not watching it because some of people may be or have been pornstars.
Well, uh, that was kind of the premise that they launched it with. That's not why I watched it either, but the hook for the community was "pornstars playing D&D". Says so in the site description. And the way you played that metaphor, you made it seem like this is art... It ain't. This is an amateur video of several average-looking women with intriguing hairstyles sitting around a table rolling dice. Which, in my opinion (and in art terms) puts it somewhere below Cassius Coolidge's "Dogs Playing Poker". I mean, this is like an average person filming their average D&D session and posting it online... it's boring to watch, but fun to participate in.
Um, my first comment here, so please excuse if I'm not doing the writing and quoting correctly. These are my sentiments exactly, I mean seriously, they are a bunch of normal looking and dressed girls, playing a game, where sometimes funny and interesting things happen. In my oppinion they are not showing anything to complain about, boobs or other scary girly parts, I mean it's not even touched on, that is not the point of these shorts and even an existing problem one should be focused on. It's marketed well, but it has something to stand on when you actually see it. The background of these girls is provocative enough to want to see it, yes, but that, again, is just a tagline, outside of which there is nothing, only a few sentences in the first episode. After a while you start to see why it could be interesting to watch and it is the furthest thing from porn, stripping, hair-cutting or whatever. I don't inderstand what the big deal is and what other people see that I don't. Perhaps it is because I am a female myself, which explains a lot. Sorry it's so long.

This is right on my sentiments, I mean seriously, they are a buch of normal looking and dressed people, playing a game, where sometimes funny and interesting things happen. I'm a young woman, in my oppinion they are not THAT amazing looking, but that's not the point at all and not the thing one should be focused on. It doesn'T even have so much boobs in it to see and to complain. Sorry it's so long. Me firs time, haha.
Can anyone look amazing to everyone? OoO

Why are you sorry? o~o

That it is so long. This is more like it. By "amazing" I ment "to be focused only on that and forgetting it is not that the idea".

Its pretty short compared to what you will see.

as the great marketers have said in days of old "woman sell." OoO they should try it with male adult entertainers, maybe the results will be the same ^o^ or worse.

The ones complaining about the girls' looks are the funniest:

"Naturally, I'd expect the woman types in my Escapist videos to look hot, possibly be naked and do their absolute best to turn me on.
Because if they don't do those things, then they're obviously just put here because they have boobs, aren't they?"

I actually like it

and I like Game Dogs too.. which says all sorts of things about me..

and for me, the editing is part of the charm..

it's kinda surreal... I mean, you got girls.. from the adult industry no less.. playing DnD... only way this could get weirder is if they were all nuns...

surreal RPGing ftw! :D

Set up at least three cameras on the tripods around the table, use less cutting and it would be watchable. The interest factor is not so high, I barely watched 30 seconds before first skipping and then closing the tab.

it seems to me that a lot of you have lead sheltered little lives devoid of any realism, and dont actually know what you're watching. you're looking for something to "get" or "understand".

understand this: people have friends(if its a concept you're not familiar with bear with me) if they want to videotape the time they spend with them, thats all it is, if you dont find these girls interesting unless they're naked then you've clearly spent too much time touching yourself :)

O.O This is realism? Do you know that reality shows, are not realism. "zak" the DM and creator of this series has stated on his blog that he wants this to be a reality series. Hint hint it is a bunch of people being paid (Called "actors") to do a video series. Its a show, if you want bloody realism go outside(the place with a bright light known as the sun, and has people to interact with. Do not be afraid it is not deadly as it seems) and drive/walk/bike to the nearest game/comic store, that has tabletop groups playing there then you will 'UNDERSTAND' what realism is. And if you do not "GET" it; or if the big bright scary place overwhelms you, go back to the safety and shelter of your "Dwelling".

notice i never said the show itself was actually real. i was more trolling on the comments on the poor editing rather than reality tv. instead of realism i should have referred to it as something along the lines of indie or homemade or some such thing. however, good rant, dont see a lot of tasteful stuff anymore.

on a side note i personally think they all get into it quite well except Sasha, she doesnt seem to be enjoying herself at all and i think its hilarious

Hah... you DO realize you're basically insulting both the Escapist and Zak (the creator of the video) by saying this.

This isn't YouTube where any crap can get posted. This was meant from the beginning to be a LOT higher quality and much more valuable than a guy video-taped his friends out of boredom and slapped it up on the web for shits and giggles. I personally know for a fact that Zak has spent A LOT of effort into putting the whole thing together and making it funny and awesome (by his own standards), including going back and re-editing the first episodes from scratch several times.

And yet you saunter up and try to defend it by basically saying "OMG you guys just it's just some random dude who videotaped his friends one day that's ALL IT IS!!". That's just fricking hilarious. I'm sure everybody involved in the video is gonna be THRILLED to hear you say that. LOL.

woah, i never complained about the quality, in fact if you knew how to read i just replied to a comment previously where i was actually ripping on the people who didnt like the quality. and wheres all this crap about "some random dude" and "shits and giggles" come from? i see a lot of words coming out but not a lot that i said

maybe if you were actually literate like the last guy you would have an argument but as it is you're just full of yourself, very, very full of yourself....have you thought about taking a poop lately?

Sorry, unable to type much today. (I am setting up my new Aquarium)

That short sentence can be (and probably is by most people) seen as if you are saying that this video series is realism.

An Indie series I can go with and will agree to that.

Hey they know who to call for backup!

Anyway. it's...okay. No harm no foul. It seems a little thrown together. Like a couple of nerds on youtube recording. I mean they really need a steady camera and a few shots. Jumping around makes it very hard to see and random guitar riffs and cutaways to the girls make it more and more confusing.

Good, but feels like there is no rhyme to any reason.
