So after finally beating Final Fantasy XIII I'm currently on the hunt for another gaming series to complete. I was thinking about tLOZ however considering I no longer own a wii or a cube anymore that's pretty much out for now.
So which entire gaming series do you recommend?
Any length, genre (bar sports, sorry) or console, the best suggestions will directly ruin my life, so suggest away.
EDIT: Thanks for the suggestions so far, i'll add for clarity I own a PS2 and PS3, a PC (duh), 3DS, DS, GBA, PSP. If any other consoles are required, and if i can afford it, i will.
Favourite genre is RPG but love action, adventure and FPS, less keen on sports, sims and racing.
Hope this helps :)

Persona. I've never played 1 and 2 (they're PS1 games) but 3 and 4 are amazing. It's an rpg series that will take you 100 hours each

Fallout 1,2,3,New Vegas.

I'm currently in the process of doing that myself. Although I don't yet own NV.

I just started playing Phantasy Star Zero on my DS. It's not bad although there are better titles in the series (if you really want a stretch, hunt down PS2 or PS4 for the Genesis.).

The Half-Life Series. The complete pack is on Steam for a very nice price, so it won't hurt your wallet too much.

EDIT: $40. I got it for $12.50 during the Steam Summer Sale, but thats long gone sadly.

Please list what platforms are available to you so I can make an educated suggestion, also any game or type of game you particularly like so I have more of an idea of what you're looking for.

Good on you man. And also this is an excellent series to play through. Won't cost you too much for the first couple entries and it's virtually hundreds of hours of entertainment.

Ditto to this, but expand it to the entire Shin Megami Tensei series, sure some of them are hit and miss, but if you do your research and pick the good ones, your time will be occupied.

MegaTen. It'll be hard getting all the games, since a lot of them were never localized and exist only for old consoles. If you limit yourself to handhelds and the PS2, however, you'll have more luck.

PS2:
Persona 3: FES (FES is an enhanced re-release of P3)
Persona 4
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne
Digital Devil Saga
Digital Devil Saga 2
Devil Summoner
Devil Summoner 2

PSP
Persona 1
Persona 2: Innocent Sin (this september)
Persona 3: Portable (arguably the best version of P3)

DS
Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey
Devil Survivor

I can't vouch for the DS titles or Devil Summoner 2, but I've heard great things about them. Furthermore, don't worry about playing things in the correct order. Unless it's Digital Devil Saga. Those two games are completely linked and must be played in order.

[sub]Also, Innocent Sin isn't out yet.[/sub]

Baldur's Gate Trilogy, modified with the tutu mod (makes the games one game using the most modern engine). Available at GOG for super convenience and will run on a netbook.

Warning for Persona: Don't play if you can't stand grinding. It can get a bit silly with the grind here and there.

Damn it... I've been ninja'd...

Atelier Iris and it's prequel/sequel Atelier Iris 2 were fun games for the PS2.

There's also Wild Arms for the PS2, I've only played 3 and 4 and I've beaten neither but I remember them being really good, so it's good for a gamble, if you choose to ignore ALL the other suggestions for some ungodly reason.
