my deck has roughly 86 cards
Typical newbie mistake, I'm afraid. You should identify your best 36 cards, and add 24 lands (I recommend 10 mountains, 12 islands, and 2 Izzet Boilerworks). The extra cards in your deck are reducing your chances of drawing the best ones, such as the Izzet Guildmage. Try posting your current list and I'll recommend some cuts.

Some cards you should think about using:
Niv Mizzit, The Firemind [http://magiccards.info/gp/en/123.html]
Traumatize [http://magiccards.info/query?q=traumatize&v=card&s=cname]
Seismic Spike [http://magiccards.info/query?q=Seismic+spike&v=card&s=cname]
Spitting Earth [http://magiccards.info/query?q=spitting+earth&v=card&s=cname]
Redirect [http://magiccards.info/query?q=redirect&v=card&s=cname]
Steamcore Weird [http://magiccards.info/query?q=!Steamcore Weird] (Simply because of the effect)
I respectfully disagree with most of these. Niv Mizzet is good, but too $$$$$ to be worthwhile for a player who's just starting. They go for $12-$20 each in Calgary. Traumatize isn't worth it because Chaos Order's deck doesn't have many graveyard effects. Seismic Spike is a decent spell, and a common to boot. Spitting Earth isn't as effective as Flame Slash [http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=193648] for killing creatures. Redirect is good, but probably too pricey for the effect relative to the benefit of buying more Izzet Guildmages. I think Steamcore Weird just isn't very good in a deck that mostly wants to cast instants, sorceries, or creatures with abilities that give a bonus to instants and sorceries.
