Oh god, I'm so sorry. I lost three grandparents last year around christmas, so I understand. I watched them die, and it's nothing like hollywood would have you believe. I hope you and your family are doing okay, and I'm sorry for your loss.

So sorry to hear that. I lost my Grandfather this year to Parkinson's. I know how it feels.

There is really nothing I can offer other than my deepest condolences and I hope your family pulls together at this very difficult time.

Nujabes has basically been my go-to artist for emotional stuff...
Yep... No matter what mood I'm in, Nujabes and his music just makes me feels better in the end...

Other than that, I'm pretty sure I'll listen to these songs as well if someone like my mom, my grnadma, or even my granny died:

My condolences.

I lost a good friend of many years some time back, and this song helped a bit.

Of course, this song is somewhat more suitable to the specific context of my relationship with my friend than it might be to yours with your mother, and even beyond that, while a vague, context-stripped consolation might help in the short-term, it of course won't provide you with any lasting resolution. That is going to have to come from the achievement of a sense of meaning in life that I am not equipped to provide you with. I hope you find the proper way to respond to the loss of your loved one and share it with the rest of us if you find it; better still, I hope that - should you be willing/able to do so - you confront others with this same issue of how one can possibly find such partings as anything but senseless, or otherwise how such issues should be addressed.
