well if the disaster of the virtual boy is anything to go by im scared....
i know most of its problems like
:looking stupid in public
:having the game slide out every now and then
not to mention the lack of a head strap was mainly caused by the fact this was in 1996
but the eye strain and fits caused by playing this wasnt
so i wonder could this happen with the 3ds? would you need a lie down after playing the 3ds for an hour? or even worse cause some people to have a fit?
or am i just missing something?
and for the love of god if someone moans about a mispell i will seriously shoot myself in the face beacuse i cant find a single spellchecker ANYWHERE so any mistakes are down to that

Why on Earth would you compare the 3DS to the Virtual Boy? The only two things they got in common is that they're both from Nintendo and both 3D, but the technology, the design, everything is different.

I'm fairly certain that the 3DS will have gone through vigorous testing. Nintendo wont sell a fit-educing hand-held games console.

It will may cause eye strain, but it won't look stupid or dumb, it will look like a regular DS... in 3D.

you guys do make some really good points i only brought this up after i watched a virtual boy review beacuse the virtual boy WAS made by nintendo so maybe something like that could happen again with the 3ds
and i did say that the looking stupid part was beacuse this was 1996 so it wasnt exactly the ultra compact ds we have today nor could it be
and i just bet there are going to be games that could have easily been on another system just dragged screaming into 3d
and a bad party game right in your face? *shudder*

As Jack and Calcumon have said, it is basically a DS with better graphics in 3D. The only real difference is that A. people won't be looking over your shoulder because the technology only works when the player is in a certain area and sitting next to somebody isn't in that area, and B. you can easily change the depth of the 3D or turn it off.

Nintendo has learned from their mistakes.

From what I've heard the only real problem with the 3DS is that the 3D only works at a particular angle and position, that could be a problem on the road. Otherwise, it's just a DS, nothing VirtualBoy-ish about it.

Why don't you google the definition of the word. Auto-complete should provide the correct spelling and you could check it's the correct form of the word by the definition provided by a web dictionary.

I agree with you Calumon, It does look cool, and some people are missing the point and generally over-thinking it.

I'm pretty sure the site doesn't have its own spell-checker. Some browsers have them built in however (like firefox).

Just like nintendo fixed the flaws of gaming on the n64(cartridge size)for the ds, they'll fix the virtual boys problems for the 3ds.
