I learned something today...

The idea of this thread is to post something cool that you learned today. It could be related to science, history, a moral lesson, anything you'd like.

Today I learned how jellyfish sting[*]. I always thought it was some kind of contact poison that goes through the skin, but actually in their tentacles they have like a bunch of microscopic needles that extend on contact really fast and inject venom into their victims. It looks really cool on high speed camera, too.

I Didn't learn it, but today i added an extra 5KG to my Curl bar, So i'll say that, even though it's what i did rather than learned, is that allowed? Aha.

Today I learned more about when girl cats come into season. I've always had my cats neutered, but since me and my boyfriend got our kitty after she was one and she hadn't been speyed, she came into season before that. So all her moodiness and what we thought was a trapped hairball and her non-pooping, was actually just that she had come into season.

I also learned a little about how to play Fizz on league of legends. Also I learned that the more chocolate I put into my hot chocolate the happier I become. LONG LIVE HOT CHOCOLATE!
