well, since the escapist magazine is now officially my new favourite website, i would like to share with the site my favourite hobby of all time, music!

hang on, i still love games, but music is just like a drug for me... and no, i dont do drugs... so actually i can't say that literally, only as a saying...

anyway, heres a few links to some of my favourite songs, some from my all time favourite genre, seeing as my favourite band comes from the genre, french house... the band is daft punk.

links here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0vmf2zE3z4&feature=related - Rhumba by Le Knight Club (skip to roughly 1:10, thats when it starts properly)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7L05mrF1my4 - Digital Love by Daft Punk (footage from the anime film Interstella 5555, a film done for the Daft Punk album 'Discovery', my favourite album of all time. the only sound is the whole album, with an anime story, fits surprisingly well).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0w3xFw3WDg - Monster Hospital by MSTRKRFT (a remix)

and please share with me and others your favourite dance bands, artists etc, i do like to expand my tastes...

I've always considered dance music like elevator Muzak thats been expanded on and taken to seriously.
Maybe I'm a 'rock' snob,eh whatever.I didn't mind the Prodigy around 'Fat of the Land',but thats about all really.

I like everything except pop and most country. Works for me.
Never focused too much on Dance as a genre, but I'm a massive fan of some older New Wave stuff, that's sorta dance-y...
At least, it makes me want to dance...

Aphex Twin is as far as I'll venture into this genre, and that's not strictly dance. Too many bad memories of discos and the sort of people who listen to dance.

Yum, I like me some Daft Punk. Anyway, as far as dance / electronic music goes, The Prodigy and Pendulum are a couple of my favourites. They have great cross-genre appeal, introducing electronic music to many rock fans. I also like Deadmau5 a lot. Not quite dance, but I also enjoy some synthpop, EBM and industrial music. Gets me moving like a twat.
