Saw this recently and had to agree...

I've been the angry white guy with a gun killing random alien for years, so it's nice playing the Asian kid fighting aliens with guitar music.

I'll up you to I like weird things in general. Cuz that's how I roll. Weird things are inherently more interesting wouldn't you agree?

It's half the reason why I love anime so much. More than half the stuff can be taken out of context in the most hilarious fashion.

So let me tell you about the time a guy killed his two best friends with a baseball bat, informed the police about how it was self defense then clawed his own throat out in a phone booth... Don't worry, they were 'k in the next episode

Is there anything more weird than breeding papermache animals in a pretend garden...? And then naming them, and catering for their needs, and customising them!? What about strange little sex-mini games for these animals... which involves the animals having to puzzle through to get to eachother to unlock a 'sex dance' cutscene?

Man... Viva Pinata is awesome! :p

I dunno, the last weird game I bought was Journey, and I actually kind of hated it. Granted I'm not really sure what would qualify as a weird game, I'm just going off of what I saw in the video.

I guess I'll only buy games if they look like something I would enjoy. That tends to be the AAA titles because they get the most marketing and reviews and whatever so I'm a little more confident in buying them, because games aren't cheap.

Granted I only bought Journey because it was getting universal praise from everyone so the point to this post?...I'm not really sure to be perfectly honest...

I agree, I like weird games. I won't buy a weird game just because it's weird though. I'm just always looking for something out of the ordinary that I might enjoy. Plenty of times that doesn't work out, but I'm always looking. Every so often I'll come across something special, and those times are great.

Is it bad that i knew what anime you were talking about ass soon as you said baseball bat?

OT: Weird games are the most interesting games . No shame in liking them .Support originality.

While I disagree with it he does make good points. At the same time though there is a reason so many people pre-order Cod and Halo.

His point was that people make a huge deal out of pre-ordering them, while it actually isn't, since you can buy them any time after launch. Smaller, obscurer, riskier titles, however, aren't so available. That was his point for the pre-orders.

Don't forget the part where you can kill one of those innocent, cute creatures with a shovel then feed the remains to their children o_O

As for weird games, Deadly Premonition is one hell of a great weird game.

I completely agree. While I do still love me some AAA (just recently got a copy of Uncharted 3, and am loving the hell out of it), I love weird games even more, since those are the games that tend to stick with me the longest. I mean, I might forget some of the stuff that happened in Halo 3, but I will never forget what happened in Rogue Galaxy, or Nier, or Deadly Premonition, or countless others. :p

So... yeah. Long live weird games! :D

The best part is probably that even Pinatas have a terrifying grim reaper figure who slowly approaches the ill and wounded and takes their souls.

Actually I forget what he does, ain't no Dastardos allowed in MAH garden, *****.

It's not bad. At least I hope it's not, 'cause that anime is one of the more disturbing ones and most awesome ones I've ever seen :)

And yeah, weird is good. 'Cause weird is fun. Normal is boring and I don't like to be bored.

Let me just put on my hipster glasses and beret here... Ok ready to go.

I'm one to seek out different experiences in games. If it's unique gameplay you're after, I'd suggest de Blob, Zack and Wiki, Lock's Quest and Animal Crossing off the top of my head. All of them unique and interesting.

Yeah that guy was damn terrifying! It always made me so sad when I couldn't afford the doctor and that guy came and killed my poor Pinata :( And all those other evil Pinata's that came to spoil my happy and innocent garden!

WHY DID YOU HAVE TO BRING BACK THE MEMORIES!!!

Me and my friends watched some of that anime just to get creeped out because it was so disturbing.
I will agree that I like how weird and unusual anime can get as well though, how about we have too giant robots fight? Yeah that sounds old so we need to innovate, let's innovate on the giant. How about giant enough to throw galaxies around like weapons? Sounds good.

Yeah, cause drilling holes in the sky got kinda boring after the first three times :D Gainax sure released some weird shit, especially with a fighter robot with a TV for a head shitting out the main guy after each fight.
Good times.
