I don't know why, but I LOVE getting traped in a jail cell or container. I have know idea why. For example, I was playing fallout 3 and I had finished the super hero/villian mission. So I decided, since that I already stoped the ant girl, I would see the robot guys lair. Inside it, there were oval containers for robots you could open. I opend one up, pressed the button to make it close, and ran in before the door slamed shut. It was one of the first times I hade no way out of a place without it being a glitch. I was saying things like "I got to get out of here, AWESOME YES." Am I the only person that likes this? Could you explain why I like this?

I like it as well.

However, It's for two different reasons:
1. I naturally love to work my way out of a fix. It gives you a sense of accomplishment.

Or 2. If it's a game with alot of enemies coming at you, it gives you a sense of safety and comfort. Atleast, that's the reason why I love them.

Maybe you have a fetish for being trapped in small places. Also I do not enjoy it when this happens glitch or otherwise.

Boredom? You quite like being trapped? Trying to get past your claustrophobia? Insanity? I have no idea, only these ones.

I like sneaking out of a cell too, but I am the opposite with your second reason. If I have to fight a horde of enemies, I'll run in, guns blazing, no matter what the situation is. Unless I deem it necessary to stay in a cell to avoid them.

Its just fun finding flaws and such. Or to do what you are not supposed to.

Oh, when I read "traped" I thought you were talking about gettinge raped by a tranny...I was gonna tell you to seek profesional help, but you seem to be OK, just interested in seeing every part of the game you can find, even if it means getting stuck in some odd place.

What is this... "traping" you speak of?

Nah, I know what you mean. Getting trapped in a jail cell doesn't really happen all that often for me in video games. I think the only time I can remember was when you got thrown into that cell in the Forsaken Fortress in WW, and that place had an "escape" exit that couldn't have been more easy to spot unless it had a neon sign and spotlights.

My guess is that you find it oddly comfortable in the game, if that makes any sense (which it doesn't). To poorly describe what I mean by comfortable in the game, it's like the warm feeling I get when I'm sniping from a safe place.

But getting onto my personal opinions and actually making sense, I like being trapped in small areas in games because it usually means there's a puzzle. No combat, no item hunting, just using your own ingenuity to find a way out.

Animal instinct.
What?

I thought animal instinct was to stay out of small confined places.
That's what they want you to think. As for the OP, sounds a little creepy, but whatever works for ya man.

I thought this would be a fetish thread.

I leave disappointed.
Don't rule that out quite yet.

that's great xD

In Halo 3, in the rooms where the Hunter's are 'introduced' there are open garbage containers. If you get into one and crouch, and something explodes nearby, they close shut. As long as you're crouching, you'll be inside of an impenitrable fortress of awesome. Sure, you can escape easily enough by standing and jumping [unless someone is standing on top of the lid] but I still think it's great bombarding a garbage container with grenade blasts and other explosive attacks. Especially if you can get a grenade into the container with the person hiding xD
