It may amuse you to find I'm actually using the pennies as part of the fix as well. I wrapped two of them in duct tape and used them as motherboard supports.

I'm sure the next fix will involve liquid nitrogen and a healthy dollop of cement.

Mein gott.

When you finally get it working, send it in to Microsoft and demand that they repair it.

Then recieve it back in the same condition, 3 months later a new Xbox360 Uber comes out, identical to your one. Right down to the nonexistant casing

I managed to fix my friends UMD drive on his Psp with a cotton bud.
Thing is, I know what's wrong with it, I know how to fix it, he just won't me let me fix it 100% ;___; But that is truly epic OP.

Now try weighing it down with that freakish howl-like thing. Also remember to puts lots of duck tape on it, everyone knows duck tape fixes EVERYTHING, it's a full proof plan.

What if you heated it up and then cooled it down again real fast? As in, heat it with an oxy torch, then cool it in dry ice.

Overheating the thing probabally isn't a good idea. Overheat one of the chips and it'll never work again. I'd say your best bet is to get the thing professionally resoldered.
