so i'm moving in with 2 friends and my wife. we all game and have varying tastes. We are pleasntly waiting for KOTOR mmo but in the mean time needs some games to fill the void. Any and all contributions would be great and much help. We already have Castle Crashers...awesome game yes but after the first 3 times and the immposible mode it's kinda lost it's novelty. Other than that let me have your ideas. Muwahahahaha

Requesting clarification on what consoles you own / how beefy your rig is.

Smash Bros(Any)
Perfect Dark or Goldeneye(the first of each)
Halo(if you're into it)
Age of Empires(good PC strategy game)
COD(Even numbers only, NO Treyarch)
Mario Party(Pick a number)

The list goes on, but the basic idea is to pick an older game that you might not have played in a while. They have excellent split-screen multiplayer and are just a blast to play with friends(and wives.)

You need to pick up a copy of resident evil 4 for your wii, but make sure you play it with a gamecube pad (if you didn't know, they plug into the top)

Street Fighter IV gives some great, fast paced, player-rotating gameplay for when you're all sat around. You'll also catch everybody on it at some point trying to link up their combos (remember! dash don't jump!)

If neither of those are really what any of you fancy, now would be a good time to get into WoW, with the new expansion coming, but personally I'd wait for Aion, or play Guild Wars.

Back to the consoles, gears of war (1&2) present some great co-op stuff, it's a lot less fun playing on your own though. Also, the lot of you can get together with a system link and play horde.

If you haven't tried mirror's edge yet, give that a try, the campaign is great and any of you that particularly enjoyed it can then move onto the time trials and see which of you can nail a perfect run.

Obvious mistake on my part: LittleBigPlanet. Awesome game for 2-4 players, again, less fun on your own but still a great game.

For the 360, go with Halo 3, great multiplayer and co-op, Fable 2, great co-op

For PS3 go with Resistance 2, great co-op, Moterstorm: Pacific Rift, a racing game with friends is always fun.

Mutiplatform (360/PS3, take a pick) Resident Evil 5, Call of Duty 4 (Or just pre-order Modern Warfare 2), Red Faction, Geurrila, Soulcalibur 4, Battlefield 1943, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Battlefield Bad Company,

For PC, Team Fortress 2, UT2004, Battlefield 2, Left 4 Dead, all fantastic multiplayer .

For Wii, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Warioware, and before you flame the hell out of me for Warioware, trust me, its addictive and a lot of fun.

Agreed with this. Although I preferred the D-Day level of Medal of Honor: Frontlines, COD 2 is easily my favorite WW2 shooter. I would have to nominate COD 4 as well, but Whatever you do, DO NOT PLAY 3!

the aion beta was alot of fun so I cant wait for the release
Kings bounty is one of the best games Ive played in along time and you can get it pretty cheap off steam
the heroes of might and magic V series of games has a ton of play value to them, cheap on steam too

But not if you have Vista, especially not Vista 64, since it won't install. :( Though I personally preferred CoD1 and United Offensive. Also, Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

Well although it's a single player game you can try Fallout 3 or Oblivion, you can each play that game one at a time and it's filled with lots of content that will keep you playing for weeks, evens months

For 4 people FPS would be the best, so try Halo 3 and Resistance 2 since you can take all your guests online with just one account

I'd have to say Left 4 Dead would be a good game you can all play togethor. Fast paced zombie killing madness. An ideal Co-op game.

Also, I'd recommend Street Fighter 4. Another fast paced game except you're all fighting each other, showing off your combos and laughing at each other when you pull off an ultra combo finish. :D

It depends on your interests and how long you want to be playing.

Civilization 4 would be good if you want a long turn based game.

Rock Band is a rather typical response, but there's a wide variety of music in the game, even more for download, and you can just pick it up and go for a few minutes or do some long setlists.

Call of Duty: World at War has some OK online multiplayer, and Nazi Zombie mode supports 4 player co-op and is a heck of a lot of fun to play. I'd recommend the PC version if you don't want to pay for more maps.

The Burnout games can be fun if you want some mindless racing/destruction.
