THAT MAN HAS ALREADY FINISHED THE THREAD! FINISHED IT DEAD!

Titan Quest and Sacred are nothing but usurpers of His throne, unworthy spawn of soulless developers!!!

...Oh, and Hellgate London is decent, if you ignore some annoying bugs and stutters.

No, honestly, Titan Quest was jaw-dropping awesome, I nearly wet myself when I looked over a tall cliff for the first time (at full graphics, yes). My only complaint with the entire game was the Cerberus fight... (chews arm off)

Lets all remember that Titan Quest doesn't really stand a chance of doing much damage to Diablo's profit margin because Iron Lore is gone now. The reason I bought Titan Quest in the first place is because I was bored with the Diablo games and wanted something new. I'm as excited as most people are about Diablo III coming out...when it gets here.

So yeah, I'm getting sick of all the goddamn fucking FPS-es that plague the gaming market and have decided to go out and buy a hacker n slasher. But of course, I can't decide so I will put my trust into all you Escapist dwellers and blah blah blah...

Thanks!
Ninja Gaiden: Sigma or Devil May Cry 4.

I'd give them both a rent first, if I were you. The combat takes a while to get used to, but it's pretty intuitive.

Plus, they're really cheap if you want to buy them. Although I'd give Ninja Gaiden some thought because it's pretty unforgiving.

Are you looking for a Diablo-esque clickfest or an actual console style action game? I'm confused.

I concur with Diablo/Diablo 2.

Also, if you want to get Sacred Gold, its 25% off at Good Old Games

DYNASTY WARRIORS!!! pretty much any of them will do; they're all identical from 2 onwards even going so far as to have the same levels and characters. but a better hack n slash game you will never find, its the most enjoyable thing on earth.

If you like diablo esque hack n slashing, give Titan Quest and its expansion a go. Also, if you own a PS2, have a look at its Baldurs Gate series.

Afro Samurai. It has a unique look and feel to it, has lots of blood and gore, and the music is absolutely terrific. Just a really fun, fast-paced, mindless God of War style game.

If you mean hack n' slash as in RPG, I'd recommend Titan Quest and its expansion, Immortal Throne. Great game, lots of hours to be spent pleasantly.

If you mean hack n' slash as in "I wanna chop stuff with my giant sword", I personally found Devil May Cry 4 very entertaining, and Heavenly Sword as well.
Devil May Cry's great fun while it lasts, but that won't be very long, and that's if you can get past the constant repetition and level recycling.

I'd recommend a rental.

Afro Smurai has the odd difficulty spike but is throughly enjoyable all the same (though i should also add that it`s a bit short)
