It occurs to me that my favorite piece(s) of music--my "go to" ass-kicking tracks--is the soundtrack to "Iron Man". The first movie, specifically. Can anyone recommend someone like that? Something that gets the pulse pounding and lends you the feeling of "oh yeah, I got this"?

It should be mentioned that I've already checked out other offerings by the same composer (whose name I cannot, at the moment, recall) and found them lacking.

Listen to Gustav Mahler's pieces. Not any specific piece in particular, but all of his music. The guy wrote nine symphonies, the shortest of which being around an hour and a half long. It's a lot of really easy to listen to music because that's what Mahler did, he wrote music that was incredibly large scale and complex but made it easy to listen to.

Might I suggest Stratovarius, specifically in their Visions album, say? There's plenty they got, but I'm fond of Black Diamond.
