In my iTunes library I have Jim Gaffigan, Brian Regan, Sean Cullen, and pretty much everything Dane Cook has released.

So, Escapists, where should I go from here? Can anyone recommend me something?

Simple answer: George Carlin. Get ready for some angry and grumpy yet brilliant and very intelligent humor.

If you want something a little sillier but still hilarious: Eddie Izzard.

Ninja'd on Eddie Izzard.

I'd recommend Bill Hicks as well and a load of comedians on the British circuit like Dara O' Briain or, if you're not prone to outrage, Frankie Boyle.

Also, can't go wrong with some classic Billy Connolly. His new stuff's more hit and miss but he's still a comedic legend.

Don't listen to many American/Canadian comedians, but I watch an immensely huge amount of others.
Because I don't know what those comedians are like I'm not sure who to recommend. :/

Jim Jefferies, Ross Noble, Dara O'Briain, Sean Lock, Bill Bailey, Jimmy Carr, Russell Howard and Dylan Moran are all very good starts though, if mostly wildly different from each other.

Edit: Ninja'd on a few of those :p.

Frankie Boyle, Rhod Gilbert, Sarah Millican, Eddie Izzard before he went shit and, he's not really a comedian but Henry Rollins' standup stuff.

Give those a try.

Frankie Boyle -very dark humour
Billy Connoly - very funny adult observational
Bill Bailey-musical/topical themed observational

Russell Brand's pretty good.
<youtube=g4mXZ2FSlUo>

Jim breuer.
<youtube=7g0AJPqKybs>

Greg Giraldo (RIP) is another one.
<youtube=Rh9_nTrZchU>

Lisa Lampanelli is another good one if you like controversial topic and that angry swearing act.
Warning, offense material
<youtube=4pgAsPpBuWY>

Kyle Cease is another one I like, but no one's really heard of him.

OH! And Christopher Titus. He's funny (least to me), but he does offensive material too (sometimes)
EDIT: Dang. What were the odds I would pick the same video too?

+1 Eddie Izzard recommendation. Also, +1 to George Carlin.

Lessee... lookin' at my MP3s... I've also got standup from Chris Rock, Dennis Leary, and Dave Chappelle... musical comedy from Dennis Leary, the Dr. Demento show, Rob Paravonian, Steven Lynch, and Tom Lehrer.

Problem, Toasty?

Seriously though, they really are great comedians, each in their own style.
