I case you don't know what I am talking about, he is THE superboss of FFX2.
Anyways he has 999,999 HP and has a multitude of attacks that hit the entire party (Ultima OP)
Even worse is that you fight him immediately after fighting Paragon, who is also a difficult boss. I have the Mascot dressphere so pure damage isn't an issue but surviving is one.
International version of the game so killing his MP or Cat Nip for victory won't work.
Anybody have a strategy?

Ooooooh, I remember this guy. I never even got to him in the original X-2. I couldn't get past the bosses guarding him. I read that you can bride one of the bosses (the one right before him, I think) with a lot of Gill and he'll leave. I always considered using the Gunner's limit break, using the item that lets you deal 9999 per attack, and just unloading on him. Never got a chance to try it though.
I'm sure someone's come up with a strategy for him by now. Check around on the web, or youtube it.

Well, I had always a very cheap tactic to defeat most of the bosses really:
Before a enemy make any kind of attack, I always changed the armor of the party to protect them from this attack.
Then when the attack finish, I change again to their normal one.

And remember: If the game allowed you to do it, it is not cheating ;)

EDIT:
Wait, you don't mean FFXII?

FFX-2, it's a common mistake.

Ah shoot. My advise was for XII, not for X-2. Sorry.
