Team Fortress 2. it is easily the best FPS I've played. 9 classes, all with unique skills, weapons, strengths and weaknesses. I bought it not even a year ago and have over 600 hours logged. it has one of the all-time best communities of all time and Valve updates it with new weapons/maps/hats regularly.

It's a fantastic game that has taken countless hours of my life. in my opinion, that's time well spent.

not to mention, it's $10 on Steam, there's really no reason NOT to buy this thing.

I would suggest these groups (they have their own servers) to start out with:
The FUN-GINEERS
Critical Failure Gamers Union
Generic Clan Name

great game, great community, great times. in the words of Joe-Bob Briggs, "four stars, check it out!"

I've reached the point in my life where it seems that not one video game can keep my interest for more than a few days. I've tried many games but nothing is keeping my interest. Could someone suggest some games that might last a long time for me?

I really enjoy sandbox games, first-person shooters, and adventure games. I don't particularly dislike any genre.
Just Cause 2 and Red Dead Redemption are your tickets to sandbox paradise. Just Cause 2 is massive, and is best once you've beaten all the main missions and are just faffing about and blowing up 'splodable things. RDR has infinite replay value for me, due to the excellent sandbox experience as well as amazing story.

WoW, ummm, there is always the option of just going out instead of playing games. Do push ups until you can't anymore, then run, repeat.

Have you tried Fallout or Bioshock? Two of my fave games right there. (btw I mean Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, never been able to play the original)

RL is pretty awesome (although it's rather old; was released some milliard years ago, but the graphics are still unmatched)

great animations, awesome textures, very smooth models, lots of stuff to do, a highly interactive world with NPCs of all qualitites of AI; you can do about anything you want there, should keep you busy for an entire lifetime ^^

If you're not so adverse to the RPG genre, may I suggest some of the following:

Wild ARMs 1
Grandia 1
Chrono Trigger
LUNAR: Silver Star Story Complete
LUNAR 2: Eternal Blue Complete

All of these games can be played on the old PS1 and PS2 consoles. All of them have epic story lines, the graphics on the first three games mentioned aren't really good by today's standards but it's only nitpicking at that point. Oh, and this list of games has some of the most epic fucking music you will ever hear.

And I dare you not to cry once during Grandia 1. I cried three times during that game.

Ah, that's not you boring easily, that would be the industry deteriorating rapidly, so for the time being: hold out for good releases, unless you want to devolve your taste to that of a 12 year old, you're going to have to pa-wait a minute! Three words: Dungeons.And.Dragons. 'Nuff said. That just reminded me I've got DnD games lined up for tomorrow, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday some friends and I are renting out a tavern for a Dnd game. Play Dnd~ If you're into it, that is. :3

This happens to me sometimes. Play a game that you know you enjoy, on a harder difficulty, play a multiplayer game with friends, or go to the bargin bin at your local game store and pick up some titles that caught your eye before, but you never got.
I have a shelf full of games I haven't beaten yet, and a summer to do it. Yet I am still playing MW2 =/

If that doesn't help, try changing gears and watch movies/anime for a while.

The best advice has been said quite a few times already but it really is the best solution; forget games for a couple of weeks, I just leave my xbox/computer alone for a month or two when I get like that.

find an author you like and read a couple of their books, or catch up on a tv show you told yourself you would watch but never got around to, and then when something you want to play comes out go back to gaming and you'll find that same joy you used to get.

Have you considered that maybe you just have too much to play? I've been in situations where I've had six or more new games to play, so I tried them all without really getting hung up on any one and felt strangely paralyzed when it came to deciding which one to play, which led to me not playing anything.

As a few people have mentioned already.

Terraria is a great game, and it's pretty damn cheap too.
I've been playing it for the last few days and I'm still enjoying it fully.

Uh. Saint's Row 2 is pretty mindless fun, if you're into that kind of thing.
Alternatively, you can play the games Yahtzee say you should never play, try to discover good things, and, when you can't find anything good, go back to playing the good games. Might work.

Oh, and if you like RPGs, play Chrono Trigger. Best RPG I've played in ages.

Have you tried playing the Elder Scrolls series? Morrowind is one of my all time favorites.
