I feel stupid for asking this, but I have absolutely no idea how to put videos or pictures into my posts, or how to use the spoiler boxes. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. And sorry if there was already something that describes this, but I coulden't find it.

For youtube videos:

Now the link part will not be the full youtube URL. Here's an example:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FksFG1l7xKI

This part FksFG1l7xKI is what you would use after the = in the forum code. If you do it incorrectly, the youtube block will be pure white, indicating that it's not correct. When you do it right, it should look like this:

For images:

You use img in brackets, the direct link to the image (some other links may work, so direct links are your safest bet) then at the end you type img again in brackets, except you use a slash like this /img. Both must be in brackets [ ]. :)

Spoiler tags function in the same way. Spoiler - /spoiler in brackets.

See?
:D

For future reference, if you have any forum coding questions there is a sticky that was made for our forums that explains all of the codes one can use to format their posts to their liking. You can find it here! [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.198114-Escapist-User-Guide-to-Posting-Commands] :)

I hope this helps!
Well, thanks for helping me with that. Now excuse me while I bang my head against the wall for searching hours for how to do this when there was a sticky right in front of me.
And the captcha is pseudo victory. Captcha, stop mocking me.

It's also good to remember that if you want to see how someone does something, you can usually find out by hitting the "quote" button on their message- it should reveal how their message looks in its raw format, with codes etc.

This right here.

I still to this day do this for nearly EVERYTHING! It is honestly one of the best ways to find out on the spot without running all over the place.

And if you are still unsure you can click on the 'Preview' button which is right next to the 'Post' button. This way you can see your post in the form that it would be viewed by others after posting, it is a good way to check if you have done everything correctly.
