I need help with Zero Punctuation...

This is going to need your opinions on the Zero Punctuation videos and also Yahtzee himself. No bad mouthing him, hes a legend

for drama, our class have to do a monologue, rather then do a piece that involves the humour of Socrates or something classical and dramatic, i chose the Painkiller Zero Punctuation Review. During a rehearsal today, the teacher said im not showing the personality of the legend and that i need to harness his attitude and show it in my performance....'stupid c*ck-eater 'quote yahtzee

so i want the Escapist Public to tell me his videos that show his personality or attitude just so i can get a gist that make it a lil more obvious that its a person saying this instead of stand-up.

Check out Australian Gamer (google-fu, young one! Master it!) and check the podcast listings. The podcasts involving Yahtzee generally show him acting more like a human being and less like... Whatever he is on ZP. Also look for interviews online or monologues featuring him (GameDamage?). I'd recommend researching the person Mr. Croshaw, and not "that ZP guy." These websites I mentioned should be useful for that.

Anything else, do your own work.

And no, I am not stalking Yahtzee. I actually like the Australian Gamer Podcasts about as much as ZP.

Anyway, why did you choose Zero Punctuation? Why?. His pieces have little or no cultural value, and are purely for entertainment. If you want to get good marks, and actually say something important, choose something by Shakespeare, or a speech by Dr. King, or an essay by Albert Einstein.

Using Yahtzee would be educationicide.

If you want one that shows his personality clearly, how about the webcomics review? Or his Sonic Unleashed one?

^ I agree completely. I suppose he acts more natural since it's less like work for him, and more like him just talking to his friends. I've been listening to the podcats for a while now because I went on the site for reviews, and they are funny as well as being more casual about the subjects they talk about.

I think the Jericho ZP was one of the most insulting ones which showed his angry side with mainly what he says instead of his voice, whilst also being really valid points (it was a very bad game).

I do agree with curlycrouton though on some level - yet at the same time it is a good idea to be original. The personal research is good, as it shows you've put more thought into it, and will probably get you higher marks, especially if you get asked questions at the end.

well its a little late to change review or do a webcomic simply because i have to learn it off by heart and its due next tuesday -_-.
and why ZP? because i checked the meaning of a monologue which was : a performance or speech of comedic or dramatic value done by a sole person
...or some crap like that and Zero Punctuation is that. plus, i wanted to stick out...lol
it does have cultural value if you start splitting hairs, hes satirical of modern society and the ideas that common sense is at an all time low, idiocy is on the rise and that we cant buy a game unless it features -boobs
