So a few months back I got really mad at this friend of mine. She posts a whole bunch of posts on my facebook saying stupid, mean stuff. My parents read it and I get in trouble for having "those kinds of friends", and I get grounded for two weeks. I still talked to her after that but she never apologized for what she did, and I never told her why I was mad because I thought she would figure it out on her own. Eventually I just lost it and stopped talking to her until now, I felt like she deserved a second chance. So I told her online while she was Idle that I was sorry for not talking to her and she got me in trouble and all but she never responded (probably because she was Idle, I don't know). So what do you all think? Should I apologize again when she's online or just leave it alone?

Can you talk to her in person? That would be the best thing to do, if you can.

If she said nasty things to you then no you shouldnt be apologising. I'd say leave it alone unless shes that great of a friend which she doesnt sound like.

Why was she posting mean stuff in the first place? If she did it without being provoked or hurt, then she is totally in the wrong. I had the same sort of problem with my friend due to facebook, she was out of order... i never spoke to her for 2 weeks? So you shouldn't have to say sorry for ignoring her! I never did ;)! Just leave her alone, things will just sort out~

Shes not exactly a great friend of mine. We only meet through this event we both went to but we never exactly had "meaningful" conversations. I don't really miss her but she seems like the kind of person who would spread lies and rumors about me and I don't want this to get like that.

You sound like a little kid. She was being mean to me. She was writing stupid stuff. On Facebook?

Seriously though, a friend is only a friend if you value her as one. If she said mean stuff on facebook, report her ass off.

It is against the Terms and Conditions of Facebook to flame someone using Facebook. Don't be the kind one. Be the one that says "No" to her tyranny.

I would say just leave it alone, but then again I'm one of those people who never forgive anyone for anything.

You didn't tell us why she posted the mean stuff...and there's a tip - you NEVER leave somebody to work out why you're mad. It just makes people think you're after attention.
I had a friend who did it all the time. I asked what I did wrong, she yelled 'you know what'. I didn't know what, I couldn't be bothered to press the issue, and she wound up on her own.
