I have trouble finding good mangas and I've noticed quite a few post involving anime. So what are some of your favorite mangas to read (not anime shows)? Also, which would you recommend to someone whose only read; one piece, naruto, bleach, hellsing, soul eater, and high school of the dead?

Edit: I forgot Death Note and Code Geass as well.

Well obviously, I'd recommend Death Note to anyone.

Others would be stuff like:

Black Lagoon
Clover
Monster (<- my fav)
MPD Psycho
Angel Sanctuary
Higurashi
Hellgirl
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (I'd recommend the light novels instead of the manga)
Shiramihi Syo (Snow Goddess Tales)
Gantz

I'll edit more later if I can.

I'll naturally start this off by recommending my all time favorite manga, Genshiken. It's about Kanji Sasahara and how he comes to terms with the fact that he's an otaku. It's goes through the entirety of his membership with his college's premier anime, manga and video games club, the Genshiken. I consider it the best slice-of-life of all time. Linkage for more info.

Bakuman's another great manga that follows the story of two high school boys as they dream of becoming manga artists. Currently in the manga they are almost done with college and dealing with the trials and tribulations of being a manga writing team. It's a great look at how the manga industry as a whole functions.

Finally since you clearly like battle manga I'll recommend Katekyo Hitman Reborn! It's the story of a useless kid that discovers that he is destined to become a mob boss. It has some of the best art I've ever seen in a manga. Don't let the first 50 chapters of gag manga fool you. After that it gets very serious.

BERSERK!

This is easily THE manga everyone (over the age of 18) needs to read.

Given your age (16), you should start moving from shonen manga into mostly seinen manga. Titles I would recommend include, but are not limited to:

20th Century Boys
Bamboo Blade
Biomega
Black Lagoon
Bokurano
Children of the Sea
Dance in the Vampire Bund
Dogs
FLCL
Future Diary (Shonen but still good)
Ikigami
Jormungand (I recommend highly)
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Ooku
Solanin (also recommended highly)
What a Wonderful World!
Yotsuba&! (staple for all manga fans)

Again there are many more out there, these happen to be some I like.

Among my personal all-time favourites:

Spriggan <- My #1
Eden - It's an endless world! <- Simply Awesome.
Golgo 13 <- One of the ultimate classics, meanwhile running since 40 years.
City Hunter <- Another awesome classic.
Hunter × Hunter <- I dunno exactly why, but I like it somehow very much.
Usagi Yojimbo <- Not a manga, but the perfect melange of western comics and manga.

and

Dr. Slump <- simply because everybody needs some Akira Toriyama in ones life... ^^

Oh, and if you want something more kinky, try something from Satoshi Urushihara... ;-)

If I were speaking to you in person I would be shoving a volume of Rurouni Kenshin right up in your face.
