Try some Djent? Nowhere near enough people seem to know about it.

Just an instrumental version, there's another with lyrics but this kind of gets the genre across better, considering its built around the guitar tones and technicality.

Started to put together a list of videos. Hit wrong key. Deleted 15 minutes worth of effort. Now just going to dump artists/producers into a long list that no one will read any way. But oh well. I've been enjoying these acts lately--

Mostly a list of hip-hop, trip-hop, electro, bass music, and livetronica acts.

Some names off the top of my head that I think make pretty dope music are Gramatik, Emancipator, SuperVision, Beats Antique, Pretty Lights, Lotus, Blue Sky Black Death, The Glitch Mob, Sound Tribe Sector 9, RJD2, SBTRKT, The Polish Ambassador / Ample Mammal, El-P, The Malah, Emancipator, Cinnamon Chasers, aether, Ott, Younger Brother, Big Gigantic, Tipper, Fat Jon, Massive Attack

Now that's a fun and diverse list of music-makers, in my humble opinion.

Pretty Hate Machine is great, but my favorite is With Teeth mostly because it's the album that got me into NIN in the first place. Chosing only those five songs was hard for me, but I didn't want a huge spoiler box full of greatness. After I posted I was like, "damn, I should have put Sin or Head Like A Hole in there". I think I got a good variety of Reznor's sounds in those five though.

All good songs, I love Rush, and Kid Cudi is one of the few hip-hop artists I actually enjoy. Wolfgang Gartner is also pretty sweet.

That's a right shame, it's a brilliant song. His two best songs IMO are Pursuit of Happiness and Day and Night.

I've been listening to a League of Legends streamer's playlist for the last week. It's mostly got classic rock, but also some stuff that's just fun to listen to.

http://guardsmanbob.com/media/radio.php#

The playlist changes moderately every day.

Well, rather than giving you a huge lump of stuff, I'll post a couple of things from my Grooveshark account.

Seeing these guys support Black Stone Cherry in March, looking forward to it. Usually I'm not such a fan of bands that sound straight out of the 70's, but they're genuinely brilliant.

Everyone likes Sonic Youth, even if they don't know it yet.

I don't know about the video either. The Bronx are great, I'm not quite so big on the Mariachi stuff, but it's all good.

Skindred are just completely awesome. They're pretty much the only band I can stand that can mix dubstep influences and all that jazz into their sound, and Benji Webbe is one of the best frontmen in the business.

Dragonforce. A metal band where you can actually understand the singer, and the solo guitar sections are amazing.

okay, ive listened to alot of music, i mean all types, i dont care wat it is, if it sounds good and i can jam to it, then i listen to it. but im running out of bands and songs to think of. all im askin is you post bands and songs and video's you think are the shit and you think not alot of people have heard them. lets get the musc started

and yes, rap is apreciated
Rap music aye...

Let me introduce you to my good friend, Trip-Hop.

If you don't have the faintest idea about the genre, let me explain.

Trip-hop (or the Bristol sound), is a genre born out of Bristol's Downtempo scene in the early 90's. It fuses downtempo with complimentary Hip-Hop beats and scratching. Which gives the genre it's distinct sound. Despite not being a mainstream genre as a whole, It went on to influence mainstream music in a huge way in the coming years after it's decline in the UK in the early noughties.

Here are a few tracks from the genre, which I feel showcases the genre at it's best.

Here's some really good instrumentals as well.

Hope you like!

[Quoted from a previous topic I was in]
Oh man, I nostalgiad so hard listening to the Massive Attack song. I remember as a little kid my mom would always slot Mezzanine into the CD drive when we were driving somewhere. Really good album. Even today I listen to it from time to time. Some of the tracks cant be beaten for straight chilling out.
All I listen to when I was a child was Backstreet Boys and shit like that, so I grow rather envious that people who are exposed to great music at such a young age.

Most of the time though, it's bullshit, but that doesn't mean I don't believe you, I just find it hard to comprehend such a thing, as I have only just discovered this music not too long ago.
Haha, if it makes you feel better, I actually had a phase where I listened to Linkin Park, Korn, and other terrible so-dark-and-edgy-nu-"metal".

Theres growing up listening to shitty music, and then theres growing up listening to good music, and THEN going back to shitty music again. It takes a lot of teenage tastelessness to do that.
haha i had no taste as a teenager, just a sister that listened to good music, and my horizons broadened from a life of nothing better to do.

Bloodhound gang; they're all about the sexy time lol. Love listening to them for a good laugh. Reel Big Fish; I found these guys when I use to watch the old Waterman Studio animation show on the interwebz years ago. They are hip hop/rock ska band. "You got to give it up!" :D the theme was awesome. Hed pe, only song I freaking love by them is Suck It Up. It's on the Madden 03 soundtrack.
