*hi fives all you guys*Good work peeps.
*hi fives back*
Actually, my favourite from them is probably The art of Dying. It's like the most headbanging song ever...
I'm inclined to agree. You didn't happen to hear about them from Jeph Jaques, did you?
Nah, my friend was big into From Mars to Sirius, so I heard that one first. I do remember him talking about the Art of Dying though, I was quite surprised considering how much of a boner he has for indie...

Come to think of it, Jeph Jaques talks about nothing but indie as well...

I guess they might be slightly indie-metal, what do I know. I don't know much about the music scene to be honest.

You misunderstand, when I say "he talks about indie" I was referring to Jeph Jaques, I knew exactly where you were coming from. I was looking through his post going "Oh more animal collective i be... what the fuck, Gojira?!"

Anyhow Gojira are usually considered pretty extreme, even though they use a lot of melody, so there's no indie in there at all. And I've never even heard of indie-metal, I don't think that exists. (unless you mean indie in terms of independant, of which there is plenty. Probably Djent being the closest modern independant movement.)

Oh, I see.

Yeah, I meant it in the "independent" way.

I remember when I had just come across Gojira. My friends at the time had just started to get into metal. Bullet for my valentine, I think it was they listened to. Then I showed them Gojira and they were like "What the fuck man? That's just crazy. Why do you listen to that?"

Don't worry, they'll come around eventually. >:)

I know I had a dark period years ago where I listened to Bullet, Trivium and the like...

I think they've come around now. It's been a couple of years after all.

Good work peeps.

As for my recommendation:
Great band! Tempted to get my hands on their new album. Have you got it? If so, is it worth getting?

I would say yes, very much so. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.275473-The-Villains-lair-Protest-the-Hero-Scurrilous] :D

Fortress is dynamite too. Kezia is also really good, but it's very different, definitely a lot more punky whilst the newer ones are more progressive.
