I need some help with my internet

Yesterday, Youtube was acting up all funny on my laptop - the videos were loading, but I couldn't hear any sound from any video on that site. I tried other sites and they worked just fine so I assumed it was just a problem with Youtube.

Today I tried Youtube again, and the sound was working just fine - as were all the other websites I visit - so I assumed it was just a small error with Youtube yesterday.

However, I turned my internet on just now, and the sound was missing from Youtube again. Unlike yesterday's problem, though, it seems to have affected every other website I visit. I can't find sound on the internet for now, it seems.

My speakers and laptop are fine - they play my music through Media Player and iTunes just fine - it seems to be the internet that is the only problem. I tried switching from Firefox to Internet Explorer, but the sound problem continued on every site.

To summarise, I have absolutely no idea what is going wrong here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried restarting your computer? I was having the exact same problem with my Mac yesterday and Firefox, the YouTube videos were all messed up, then I opened up Safari and it was fine for a bit, then that went down too. I rebooted my comp and waited about an hour and that fixed the problem.

Does your IP have a Download Limit? If so, this could a problem caused by exceeding it.

Anyway, you could always try Clearing the Browser's Cache, or mabye Reset your Modem.

I'm not too sure how to clear my browser's cache, but I use CCleaner if that's anything like it? If that is a cache clearer, I used it the day before my internet started acting up.

Well, not that it's much use now, but in Mozilla, go to "Tools", "Clear Private Data," and select "Cache." It's just all sorts of junk gets in there and starts to make the browser slower.
